e-Juice Review: GLAYZD by Wild Kraken

Wild Kraken have been around for a while now, slowly gaining traction, easing into our living rooms, with their super tasty flavours and wild graphics. Actually that’s completely false, it does sound good though!

In fact, they hit the ground running a few years back and very quickly established themselves as the go-to label for all things Grape and Bubble-gum, thanks to their best selling “HUBZ” flavour. What many don’t know however, is that along with HUBZ, they also released another 3 flavours to run alongside of it, GLAYZD, Le-Pipe, and KSTRD adding to their already established LEGOS and BGR flavours in the range.

Inhale & Exhale

On the inhale you’ll first experience the light bready dough of the doughnut. It’s quite mild, a little sweet, light and fluffy. It has a little bit of a wet dough note to it, but is mostly a cake/bread blend that is not quite quite savoury and not quite sweet.

As the inhale continues, the flavour intensifies and gets a little more complex with a light vanilla cream blending with the dough, as well as a sticky sugary sweetness washing over the top.
The profile doesn’t change a lot from here on in, it does get more intense right up to the top of the inhale, but the general flavour doesn’t switch out a lot.

At the top of the inhale where the flavour is at it’s most intense, the light wet dough, bready back-note and sugary sweet wash of glaze all remain, but the general texture changes out a little with the vanilla cream, pushing an even sweeter and juicier profile into play, it’s almost as if they are permeating from within the dough, producing a more moist fried dough out to your tastebuds.

As you exhale, while the moistness remains, the vanilla, and bready dough fall back a little allowing the sugary sweet glaze to wash over everything once again. It evens the other flavours out, and puts the focus back on that sweet and sticky glaze texture right out to the end of the vape.

My Thoughts

While this is not an exact replica of a Krispy Kreme doughnut (nothing really can with vaping), it’s pretty close, and likely as close as a vape flavour will get to the real thing. The dough and bready notes are all there along with the vanilla cream helping to keep things moist and the sweet sugary wash toward the end of the exhale is divine.

I particularly like that Wild Kraken have made this even more complex than the real thing by adding some creams, when it’s vaped it gives the impression that it’s a moist warm doughnut freshly fried, with a smooth gooey glaze over the top rather than the ‘krispy’ nature of the glaze in real life.

A wonderful vape, that you won’t get tired of quickly, it’ll satisfy those sweet cravings, without any of the guilt!
