eLiquid Review 510: Legos by Wild Kraken

eLiquid Review 510: Legos by Wild Kraken

Welcome to the 2nd flavour in the new Wild Kraken range of eliquids!
For those of you who do not know, Wild Kraken is an Australian eliquid line that has come from the same great mind that created Secret Bunker Vapour, so you can be certain that this range has been created from the ground up in intricate detail.

Let’s see how number 2 stacks up!

Today, I’ll be reviewing “Legos” from Wild Kraken.
(This eliquid was supplied by the vendor for review.)

Flavour Description

[From the website]
“Fresh young mango, with a cool kick.”
[From the label]
“Mango Slushie”

The Review

Boy did I get a surprise with this one! Reading the description on the tin, I was expecting a totally juicy cold mango slushie! Something full and fruity, a little syrupy or sticky and sweet. To me, it is all of that. But!….

I seem to be getting a slight coconut feel from it, more a candy coconut, right at the edge of the mango. It was an unexpected surprise, not an unwelcome one though, it works really well in there!

Now I can’t be certain if it is even coconut, or a note from one of the many mangos that has gone into this flavour, but it’s definitely got that coconut feel and comes across quite strong in the beginning. It unfortunately also turns this into more of a tropical flavour, with a little less of that slushie feel.

To me, “Legos” is a sweet and fruity mango, having undertones of candy coconut, that creates a sweet and creamy blend that is a little bit beverage, and a little bit dessert. As you vape it more and more, the coconut becomes less obvious and the mango really shines, turning this into a succulent juicy mango vape.

Individual Notes

The Mango in this flavour is very nice. It’s realistic, juicy, and sweet as you might expect, and very much a mango flesh profile, void of any skin notes.
I do notice that the mango takes on quite a peachy feel, and much more rounded and fuzzy in texture than the usual succulence of a ripe sliced mango.

I feel like I’m getting a candy coconut in this juice. I could be mistaken, and one of the mango’s used has a note similar to coconut, but whatever it is, it is there. A slightly toasted feel, with a slight creamy texture to it. It’s quite noticeable, but designed to be an accent I am assuming.

There is a little chill on the tail end of this flavour. Not overbearing, not too cold, just a little designed to be cool, not an icy blast. Most definitelly WS23 or Koolada.

Inhale & Exhale

The inhale and exhale of this one are pretty similar, obviously the inhale is going to be less intense, as most flavours usually are. The mango is light, but robust and genuine, and I already notice the sweet syrupy feel of it before it hits it’s intensity. As I reach that peak point in the inhale, that familiar candy coconut flavour appears. It’s a little roasted, slightly powdered, and gives the mango a really tropical feel. You’ll notice this coconut early on when you first begin vaping this flavour, but as time goes on, it will blend in more and more until you barely even notice it.

On the exhale, the light coconut is still there and beginning to fade, as the mango intensifies even more, showing off it’s fleshy notes and juicy texture. A little chill kicks in about halfway through the exhale as the coconut fades into a memory and the syrupy mango hits it’s peak. The rest of the exhale is history as mango and chill collide into a chilled fruit syrup.

Final thoughts

While this flavour is a stretch away from it’s description with that coconut note, it is a tasty juice. Not only tasty, but juicy, sweet and also has quite a nice texture to it.

Unfortunately, as mentioned earlier, I’m not finding this to be much of a slushie type of flavour at all, well not in the beginning. More a Mango, Coconut Cream. Sure it has the chill factor, but the texture screams dessert, instead of the intended sweet juicy and chilled nature of a slushie.

Further along, now that I’ve been vaping it for a while, that coconut has abated, and is mostly gone, with only a slight note on the edge of the mango, and this has turned into quite a nice vibrant and full flavoured mango vape. Still slightly tropical due to the coconut undertone, but very tasty, and definitely an intense mango!

I actually really like the candy coconut in this, it works so very well with the mango, and adds a little extra tone to the flavour, completely changing it’s profile.

Would I change anything? I likely would drop the coconut a little, or whatever was added to create that little twist, as it tends to override the mango a little when you first start vaping it.

All in all this is quite a nice flavour, and something that mango lovers will get a kick out of.

Nicely done guys!

I love the branding of this range, the trademark blue labels as well as matching blue bottle caps look great!
