eJuice Review 395: Pineapple – Jammed Up by Clouded Visions

This one is the last of the “Jammed Up” range from Clouded Visions, and I think it’s safe to say that there is a pretty obvious theme happening here.

You could assume that the base used in all three of these is the same, and only the fruits differ, but you’d be wrong. While the profile is similar with all three, I notice that the mixes are all slightly different.

Today, I’ll be reviewing “Pineapple” from Clouded Vision’s “Jammed Up” range.
(This eliquid was supplied by the vendor.)

Flavour Description

Who doesn’t love Jam? Or butter for that matter? Clouded Visions presents its “Jammed Up” line, a full range of jam on toast inspired flavours! We’ve all tried the popular American versions, however at Clouded Visions we couldn’t help but think we could do this better! And we did, resulting in a more balanced, more coil friendly, more variety and an overall more ‘Jammy’ range of flavours.

The Review:

As I mentioned earlier, all 3 of these “Jammed Up” flavours are mixed slightly differently, and it’s not just the fruits.

Apricot” had quite the fruit punch to it, very sweet, and a real apricot jam if you will, with only a slight toast note, but quite a noticeable amount of butter.

Strawberry” was similar, just as sweet, but with a more realistic strawberry, a brightness to it, and less of a butter feel, and slightly more toast.

“Pineapple” is different still, the pineapple being unexectedly light, less sweet than the others, without that familiar sharpness, a little less butter, but more dominant bready and toast notes.

Individual Notes

The pineapple, whilst staying true to it’s jamminess, seems to be dialed back a little, not quite as sharp as you might expect it to be, with more of a warm stewed pineapple feel. Of course this works well, as it is supposed to be a jam, but I still can’t help feeling that there should be a more brighter note in there somewhere. It is a little less sweet than the others, so that may impact things a little.

The butter in this one is less noticeable than the other two “Jammed Up” flavours. It is still there, but does not have that same punch as the others where it bridges the fruit and toast, like you’re biting into the real thing. Rather than the butter being slathered onto the toast, someone was being frugal, and trying to scrape the last bits up out of the tub!

The toast is a lot more noticeable in this one. I’m not sure why, but this has more of a baked feel, and less of that butter and jam topping goodness. It has a lovely texture though, and had I not tried the other two flavours first, this would have impressed me no less than they did.

Inhale & Exhale

While the flavours are all mixed slightly differently, the inhale and exhale are all very similar with the inhale consisting mostly of fruit and a slight buttery undertone. This time around it is a stewed pineapple, with a very light buttery feel.

As with the other two, the pineapple seems to reach a slightly brighter and intense crescendo just as the inhale finishes and you are onto the beginning of the exhale. The butter then takes a back seat, making way for that drier, bready, toast flavour to wash through the vape, much more noticeable here than in the other “Jammed Up” flavours.

The end of the exhale is a lovely mix of light pineapple jam or relish, thinly spread, over a full textured, bready toast that rounds everything out for quite a thick finish.

Final thoughts

I was a little surprised with this one. I did expect that sharp almost citrus pineapple tartness, but it wasn’t there. In all honesty, it probably shouldn’t be either, since this is supposed to be a jam, and much more sweet than tart.

This one was a little less ‘sweet’ and much more bready than the other two, not that it’s a bad thing, as each has their own thing going on. Considering that pineapple is quite a difficult beast to tame, I think Clouded Visions have done a really good job with this one.

I’m a little torn as I’d like to give this a 4.2 as I did with the Apricot, it’s a bloody great flavour in it’s own right, and I’ve been vaping it non stop, (which is a huge compliment because I don’t usually like pineapple vapes) but I think the apricot just had that little bit of magic about it.

Nice work guys!
