e-Liquid Review: Rich’s Rice Crispies from Affinity Creations

e-Liquid Review: Rich’s Rice Crispies from Affinity Creations

I’m continuing on today with the Affinity Creations range of eliquids. We’ve gotten to more of the richer flavours of late, and this one is no different. It’s not a dessert, but instead a cereal based flavour.

Today it’s Rich’s turn, this review is of “Rich’s Rice Crispies” from Affinity Creations.

(This eliquid was supplied by the vendor for review.)

The Review

Rice Krispies are a pretty popular breakfast treat, and with the introduction of LCM’s, it’s become even more popular over the years. Just like rice bubbles (they’re basically the same thing), Rice Krispies are made from crisped rice, a rice and sugar paste that is formed into a rice shape and expanded to give them a hollowed out, and thin outer shell. They’re then merged into blocks to form that familiar LCM or rice crispy treat shape.

Because of the caramel and marshmallow tones, this is more of an LCM treat than an original rice Krispy or rice bubbles flavour.

“More of an LCM than a pure Rice Krispy flavour, this one is rich with sweet caramel and a nice thick marshmallow”

Individual Notes

Rice Krispies. Yep those little ricey pieces that have a distinct almost bland taste and texture to them. Lightly sweetened, they were a staple in many household’s breakfast cupboards.

Caramel. This flavour is lightly caramelised. It’s the typical rich and sweet caramel sauce type of flavour, and it adds dimension and gives a definitive LCM feel to this flavour.

There is marshmallow here too. Light and fluffy, sweet and sticky, it thickens and sweetens the mix even more, giving it quite a dessert feel, and promoting that richness even more.

Inhale & Exhale

On the inhale I get that unmistakeable Rice Bubble or Rice Krispy flavour, a little wheaty, ricey and sweet. Along with this, light caramel tones are here also, contrasting against that savoury feel, which gradually increases in intensity as the inhale continues.

Right at the top of the inhale, that Rice Krispy flavour hits home with a really ricey (is that a word?) mouth feel and profile washing across the tongue, you’re almost crunching down on a bowlful of Rice Bubbles, while that light caramel keeps things a little richer and adds volume.

Once you begin to exhale, you’ll notice that marshmallow really set in as the vape thickens up and get’s quite sticky. It also adds a little bit of creaminess to that really drives this home as almost a dessert flavour more than a cereal.

Final thoughts

I’ve really enjoyed this one, it’s a little different than the usual dessert flavours that I tend to gravitate toward, that Rice Krispy/Rice Bubble note certainly drives that home. I’ve found it tastefully savoury at the same time as being deliciously rich with the caramel and marshmallow added.

If I were to describe the flavour in it’s entirety from start to finish, I’d likely say it’s like crunching down on a caramel/marshmallow LCM. The volumous caramel and marshmallow contrasting with that savoury rice krispy flavour really makes for a deeper and more complex vape.

There’s nothing here to pick on, there are no con’s just a tasty LCM flavour that doesn’t tire with age either.

Well done on this one!

Very professional and unique branding on this range.

The labels are quite striking with a parchment background and black and white flavour specific artwork with juice name front and centre.
These labels go above and beyond with the information provided:

I’ve heard that these labels were the creation of 4 separate people pulling together to knock out some fantastic artwork!
