e-Liquid Review: King Strawb from Vape Vault
Sorry about the delay on this review folks, the last few days has been pretty busy, but I’ve gotten there in the end. Welcome to another e-Liquid Review from the Vape Vault range!
Vape Vault have been around a while, and really know their stuff when it comes to e-liquids, and it shows, with their in-house brand a collection of tasty flavour profiles, showing off some fine mixing. Someone down there at Vape Vault definitely has a nose for flavours, because every single one of these that I’ve tried have hit the mark, and been a pretty solid vaping experience.
While previous reviews have been fruits and menthols, this next profile I’m taking a look at is a dessert. And not just any dessert, Vape Vault have dipped their toes into the Strawberries and Cream pond!
Today I’ll be reviewing “King Strawb” from Vape Vault.
(This eliquid was supplied by the vendor for review.)
Flavour Description
[From the website]
Fresh ripened strawberries smashed through your favourite thickened sweet cream but what’s that crunchy stuff you can taste in the background?
Flavour Notes: Ripened strawberries mixed with delicate creams.
Steep time: Best after a week.
RTV: PG/VG Ratio 20/80
The Review
Strawberries and Cream, it’s a flavour people love to hate, or hate to love. Either one of those makes sense, because it’s just so damn difficult to find a realistic one.
Most Strawberry and Cream flavours are quite artificial, which you’d expect, but also seem slightly off on the profile that you’d expect out of either a real strawberry and cream dessert, or a strawberry and cream milkshake or candy. Somewhere in the middle is where most end up, never really committing to one of the profiles.
Vape Vault have committed to it, and I’m pleased to say that it’s a much more realistic experience than you might be expecting.
“This one is a lovely light sweetened cream topped with equally sweet strawberries and a background crunch you’ll keep trying to catch”
Individual Notes
Obviously you’re going to get a Strawberry here. It’s quite a ripe strawberry, not your usual sharp and tart fresh strawberry, its warmer with a riper feel. If you’ve ever used ‘Strawberry Ripe’ concentrate, it’s very much that with another sweeter brighter strawberry blended in with it. Quite realistic, with no candy notes at all.
The sweet cream here is exactly that, sweet cream. There simply is no mistaking it, with it’s thick texture but lighter flavour, I get a little marshmallow feel to it, but not enough to be able to say it’s in here for certain.
There is also a note in the background here that by the description, adds a bit of crunch. It comes across to me as sweet biscuit, not an overbearing biscuit, but somewhere between a sweet cookie, and cracker.
Inhale & Exhale
On the inhale, instant Strawberry fills your mouth, it’s that Ripe strawberry that I mentioned earlier, earthy, and robust. As you inhale further and the flavour intensifies, it’s joined by a taller, brighter and juicier strawberry that really fills out the mid-range, making the strawberry quite a striking blend that can get quite intense at times.
That top of the inhale sees the brighter strawberry almost take off before the light, yet bulky sweet cream starts to smooth the tartness out. As that sweet cream moves in washing over the strawberry, the profile takes on more of a dessert profile, thickening up, through the exhale, that background biscuit/cracker begins to fill in that profile out even more.
Continuing the exhale sees that same Sweet Cream and biscuit warm up as the strawberry rolls back into the dessert, and it all finishes off as a wonderfully blended strawberry cream biscuit.
Final thoughts
This is quite a nice flavour, I get a lot of great flavour from it, and have enjoyed the last few days of vaping it.
The strawberry and creams blend really nicely making sure to not overshadow the other, instead coming together and syncing in a way that makes them quite seamless. The same goes for the biscuit, that introduces itself at a great point in the vape, and is simply a fantastic support flavour further pushing that dessert profile.
I did find this one wavering in intensity at times however, and found that it had pockets of full on flavour and others that fell a little flat particularly where the cream was concerned. It’s like Vape Vault wanted to create a nice full textured dessert, but tried to lighten it up so it wasn’t so full on. Instead of it becoming a lighter version of itself, I feel it loses a little of it’s complexity and depth.
All in all a great flavour, easy to vape all day, but might not smack you in the chops, if you love your big full on flavours.

Presentation:
I love Vape Vault’s branding. As I understand it, this range will be rebadged soon, but I have to admit, I really like their existing design.
It has a very straight forward theme, everything industrial with gearing, locks and is presented very well.
I recieved clear 60ml Chubby Gorilla style bottles with child-proof caps, easy fill thin nozzles and tamper proof seals. Very much pretty standard across Australian eliquids.
The labelling is great, with all of the information you’ll need. Name and company front and centre, with a colour coded graphic to go along with it, ingredients, warnings, PG/VG ratio, bottle size, and social media URL’s.
Test rigs:
Original Haku Cruiser running a single 0.17 framed staple coil on a mech mod.
Augvape Intake RTA with a 0.2ohm Stainless coil running @ approx 50-80 watts.
