e-Liquid Review: Titanium from Vape Vault

e-Liquid Review: Titanium from Vape Vault

Onto my next flavour from the Vape Vault range folks. This one is definitely a fan favourite and is a fantastic all day vape kind of flavour.

If you’ve not heard of Vape Vault, they’re based in Townsville, in Sunny Queensland, where they now have 2 physical vape shops, one in Garbutt and another in Kirwan.
Rob started his business a number of years ago, with his Vault boxes (a mix of e-liquids tailored to the buyer) which you can still buy today, and gradually branched out to other vape gear, and his own house e-liquid range bearing the same name as his stores (Vape Vault).

Today I’ll be reviewing “Titanium” from Vape Vault.

(This eliquid was supplied by the vendor for review.)

Flavour Description

[From the website]
So imagine a grape juice that wasn’t so sweet and candy like, that’s right this baby has got some tart going on… pair this with a hint of menthol and boom you have yourself an ADV you can never get sick of.

Flavour Notes: Tart purple grape juice with a fair whack on menthol.

Steep time: Shake and vape.

RTV: PG/VG Ratio 20/80

The Review

Sometimes I get a flavour that’s a bit of a surprise, it’s profile is a little different to it’s description and I really have to dive down into the flavour to give a good explanation of it’s high’s and lows, and all of the notes and nuances. “Titanium” is not like that. This one really does say it all on the tin!

By their description, they’ve shied away from the candy grape a little, and tried to go for a more fresh grape feel with this one, with a little tartness.

“This might not be a candy per-se, and it might not be as sweet as others, but I get a real Hubba Bubba grape vibe from this one despite the description.”

Individual Notes

There’s not a lot going on in this one, Grape is obviously the main flavour. It’s a blend between a realistic grape and a grape soda/bubblegum.
Sweet but not so sweet, robust and juicy with fresh fruity grape, with a little bit of that candy undertone that makes all grapes great. You could say that both the natural and candy grapes together, create a more grape juice or drink kind of flavour combination.

You’ll also find some cooling in this one too. I notice a little bit of a bitterness that seems like menthol in here, alongside the cooling agent that gives off that little bit of extra complexity. You’ll find the cooling quite aggressive but not completely out of proportion to the grape, it can be quite cold at times, but it’s also easy to get used to.

Inhale & Exhale

The inhale starts with the grape, you’ll instantly get a familiar candy/bubblegum grape coming through quite strongly, contrary to most other flavours, gradually increasing in intensity.
As you begin to reach the top of the inhale, as the grape gets a little tart, the cooling swarms in, with a touch of menthol adding a little bitterness to the grape’s tart sweetness.

On the exhale, the grape moves from being a candy grape, widening out to more of a grape juice or grape drink profile with that fresh fruity grape taking on more of a presence. Juicy and full of flavour, the sweetness tips down a little through here, as the cooling from the ws23 starts to cool things right down giving quite an icy blast. This carries right through until the end of the vape, where you’ll be left with quite a cold throat and that sweet grape flavour left on your palate.

Final thoughts

This is a very good grape mix. Without trying, Vape Vault have knocked out a very tasty and robust grape candy/gum blend, even when they were trying to do the exact opposite!

It’s not just candy grape though, this flavour has a good dose of natural juicy grape in it, and it’s the full blend between candy and natural creates a grape juice profile that shows just how particular Vape Vault are about their mixes.

To me the cooling is spot on, there are no unusual notes and it really is what it says on the tin. No mucking around here, “Titanium” is just an all-round great mix.

Well done guys.

Presentation:

I love Vape Vault’s branding. As I understand it, this range will be rebadged soon, but I have to admit, I really like their existing design.
It has a very straight forward theme, everything industrial with gearing, locks and is presented very well.

I recieved clear 60ml Chubby Gorilla style bottles with child-proof caps, easy fill thin nozzles and tamper proof seals. Very much pretty standard across Australian eliquids.

The labelling is great, with all of the information you’ll need. Name and company front and centre, with a colour coded graphic to go along with it, ingredients, warnings, PG/VG ratio, bottle size, and social media URL’s.

Test rigs:

Original Haku Cruiser running a single 0.17 framed staple coil on a mech mod.
Augvape Intake RTA with a 0.2ohm Stainless coil running @ approx 50-80 watts.
