e-Liquid Review: Unobtainium from Vape Vault
The range of flavours that I’m running through at the moment have been on my radar for a very long time, and I’m glad that Rob from Vape Vault reached out to me to give me a little push, because so far, I’m pretty impressed. Both flavours I’ve tried, have been clean, punchy, sweet, fruity blends that really hit you in the tastebuds.
Sweet Lemonade really was an all day vape type of flavour, so I’m expecting pretty good things from this next flavour, which as it also happens, has a large following itself, being Vape Vaults number 1 best seller of the range.
Let’s see what all the fuss is about!
Today I’ll be reviewing “Unobtainium” from Vape Vault.

Flavour Description

While travelling through the tropical jungles in Taiwan and Malaysia we found some of the best green mangoes and juicy lychees we have ever tasted, so we began our mission to deliver one of the most complex earthy Mango/Lychee mixes we’d ever experienced. The result was almost unobtainable, this is a really earthy mix of mangoes and lychees and is backed up with a smashing of ice. Not for the faint hearted.
Flavour Notes: Complex mixture of green mangoes mixed with lychees with a cold blast.
Steep time: Shake and vape but this baby only gets better over time.
RTV: PG/VG Ratio 20/80
The Review
I love Lychees, they’re such a great fruit and profile to vape, with their extra clean but sweet nature, they’re really difficult to get tired of, and always make for an all day vape.
Brace yourselves for this flavour folks, because this one will have your tastebuds singing. It stays true to it’s lychee base, Vape Vault have made sure this is clean and sweet, bright and light, even throwing a bit of mango into the mix, while making sure to not muddy that crisp lychee profile.
Toss a bit of cooling in, and you’ve got yourself one sweet vape, a wonderful flavour for summer.

Individual Notes
Lychee is obviously the dominant flavour here, it’s sweet and clean, crisp and juicy, with a light fragrant, it really is a pleasant flavour to vape.
Alongside, or rather, underneath the lychee, lies a little mango. Delicately blended so that it doesn’t overwhelm the lychee, it’s just strong enough to add to the profile, yet not enough to take over. It’s a syrupy, yet cleaner mango than you’ll usually find, and blends well with the crisp lychee.
Last but not least is the cooling. This flavour has quite the chill factor so you might want to go easy on a high wattage device to begin with, it can get icy cold real fast!
Inhale & Exhale
On the inhale, you’ll be immediately presented with the lychee, a little floral at the start, but bright and juicy, sweet and robust. Lychee is a great flavour to cleanse the palate, and this one is no different. As you inhale, Mango presents itself behind the lychee, warming things a little before a little chill begins to form toward the top of the inhale.
At this point, the lychee and mango sweetness hit their peak, but they’re not really done yet. The cooling gives you a nice cold blast and fills your mouth with a chill, as you exhale, you’ll notice that strong clean and sweet lychee and mango blend fall back into place, lining up side by side with the cooling, almost battling it for control. Even though these two opposites fight for the limelight, they also work very well contrasting against each other and create a very ice block or ice confectionary feel.
Carrying on through the exhale, that sugary sweet, yet fragrant lychee and mango calm a little and begin to embrace the cooling, blending some more and now flow through right to the very end of the exhale.
Final thoughts
I can see why this is so popular. It really is a fantastic flavour, cleverly blended mango adds even more flavour to this already tasty mix.
This is a very well defined flavour, bright, sweet, textured, all the while punching you with intensity but keeping things clean, so that you won’t get easily tired of it. The cooling is probably a little chillier than others, but nothing over the top, and you tend to get used to it anyway.
Can I pick on anything? Not really. There is a moment just after the top of the inhale as you move onto the exhale where you might find a transitionary dullness, some might even call it a floral or a note that just doesn’t quite fit, but it’s not hugely noticeable and I don’t think it detracts away from the main profile. This is being really really picky though.
All in all, I’ve absolutely loved vaping this one, it ticks all of my boxes as a flavour and this could easily end up being one of my main go to flavours.

Presentation:
I love Vape Vault’s branding. As I understand it, this range will be rebadged soon, but I have to admit, I really like their existing design.
It has a very straight forward theme, everything industrial with gearing, locks and is presented very well.
I recieved clear 60ml Chubby Gorilla style bottles with child-proof caps, easy fill thin nozzles and tamper proof seals. Very much pretty standard across Australian eliquids.
The labelling is great, with all of the information you’ll need. Name and company front and centre, with a colour coded graphic to go along with it, ingredients, warnings, PG/VG ratio, bottle size, and social media URL’s.
Test rigs:
Original Haku Cruiser running a single 0.17 framed staple coil on a mech mod.
Augvape Intake RTA with a 0.2ohm Stainless coil running @ approx 50-80 watts.
