eJuice Review 412: Blast Off – The Fountain Range by OPMH Project

I’ve got the 3rd and final flavour from the “Fountain” range up for review today. I have to say, all three of these juices have been quite tasty, very sweet and true to their descriptions.

As sweet as they are, all three of these flavours has been fairly gentle on the coils and wicks, only really gunking them up the smallest amount after a few days. So, pre-built coil users can be assured that their costly coils will not need replacing as quickly as when using many other ‘sweet’ juices.

Today, I’ll be reviewing “Blast Off” from “The Fountain” range by OPMH Project.
(This eliquid was supplied by the vendor.)

Flavour Description

Refresh your taste buds with a blast of tropical limes and citrus soda is sure to leave you stunned. Blast off is truly out of this world.

The Review:

You’ll find that todays flavour “Blast Off” carries similar notes to the other two Slushie flavours in this range. All of them have a lemonade, and citrus base which brings that unique “Slushie” feel to the fray, not only with the sweetness that is required, but that slight tang or bite on the tongue you’d get from any good soft drink base.

“Blast off”, is very much the base from the other two flavours in the range, ramped up to bring it up to an intensity that it can stand alone as it’s own flavour, with tropical lime added to it to give it that little bit of extra zing.
Individual Notes

You’ll really only pick up on a couple of flavours here, first up is the lemonade, which is a pretty ‘true to form’ sweet lemonade soda/soft drink flavour. It’s sugary sweet, with an artificial lemon. Crack open a can of “Halls” lemonade or “Sprite” for you overseas visitors, and you’ve got an idea of what this lemonade tastes like.

The other addition here is Lime. From the description, it’s a tropical lime, what that is I’m not quite sure, but the lime is pretty quiet here, and adds more of a lime nuance rather than a huge hit of flavour. It’s a sharper citrus that just adds a little extra complexity and rounds things out.

Inhale & Exhale

On the inhale, obviously things are toned down a lot, but I notice a really nice sweetness. It’s artificial, and sugary, with a hint of lemon/lime appearing toward the tail end of the inhale.

Switching out to the exhale, that light lemon/lime begins to pick up a little in tune with the sweetness. As it intensifies it begins to take on a real lemonade soda/soft drink feel due to the sugary sweetness and lighter artificial lemon.

Somewhere in the middle of the exhale, the lime kicks up a little making it’s presence known by adding a more rounded yet bitter backnote to the lemonade. It’s not “blow your face off” lime, but instead a nuance that very quickly falls back into place leaving the end of the exhale as a sweet lemonade again.

Final thoughts

This is a great flavour and it’s no wonder it is used as the base for the other juices in this range.

This is an awesomely sweet lemonade Slushie, no doubt about it. A no nonsense flavour that you can easily vape all day, without getting tired of it.

Definitely a great flavour for summer!

70%VG / 30%PG

Sweet candy, full flavoured.

No steeping necessary

Presentation:

Really nice presentation here. I received clear 60ml Chubby Gorilla bottles, that of course have child-proof caps and freshness seal. One great thing that I noticed, is that the freshness seal, when cracked, does not slip down over the nozzle, which is a major annoyance with other bottles. It stays where it is and doesn’t get in the way. The nozzles are a touch wider than the usual, which minimises leakage and juice seeping from the nozzle when you don’t want it to. These bottles are very impressive.

The labels are very professional with The Fountain logo and graphic, flavour name, and all of the warning information you could every need. Best before is also on there, which is a nice touch.

Test rigs:

Haku with slam cap running a single 0.17 ET coil from “Bombers Coils” on a mech mod.
OBS Engine RTA with a 0.2ohm Stainless coil running @ approx 50-80 watts.
