eJuice Review 413: Twelve Steps by Vapors Anonymous

This week, I’ve got another interesting juice line for you all! If it looks familiar, well, it is. The Vapors Anonymous name has been around for a while now, and if you follow my reviews, you’ll recognise them as a juice line that I’ve reviewed before, well, two of their flavours anyway!

So apparently, Vapors Anonymous have revamped all of their flavours, as well as their labels, and re-released them. I imagine this may have something to do with vaper’s tastes changing over time, and there being more of an emphasis on high VG vaping now than there was a few years ago.

Anyway, I have 5 flavours to review, let’s get stuck into the first!

Today, I’ll be reviewing “Twelve Steps” from Vapors Anonymous.
(This eliquid was supplied by the vendor.)

Flavour Description

Twelve Steps will satisfy your taste buds with this fruity and sour eliquid blend. A delicious apricot and honeydew exhale with a hint of sour to finish it off.

The Review:

This juice is a total shocker! Not in a bad way either! I really really expected this one to bomb, but it works really well! Apricot and Honeydew, who knew that this would work, but it absolutely does, and it is absolutely fantastic.

The apricot, which is typically brighter than its brother the peach, uses this pitch of flavour to latch onto the honeydew and blend with it seamlessly.

High note for high note together, that then creates a complex mix of taller crisper honeydew and deep down syrupy apricot note that hangs off as an almost background, a much lower profile that helps to steady the flavour and provide a base.

Individual Notes:

The honeydew is quite a fresh melon hit, exuding a crisp, sharp texture with an almost sour note to it. I’m finding it to be a little more natural than artificial, and definitely at a great intensity.

The apricot flips things around by being more syrupy in nature, a more rounded note, yet having a light taller nuance that helps it blend with the honeydew.

I don’t know if this flavour has any additional sweeteners or anything in it, but I suspect a little, just a touch of sweetener.

Inhale & Exhale:

The inhale is mainly honeydew, it sets the stage with it’s taller more acidic notes, taking in quite a sharp almost sounds inhale. There is a touch of apricot here at this point but it’s a little hidden, and the honeydew definitely dominates.

Over to the exhale, we start off with where the inhale left off, quite a sharp honeydew, which slowly begins to round out as more apricot comes into view. It’s gradual, not a sudden rush, but the result is still very much honeydew, but with a nice thicker, syrup natured apricot falling in behind that creates a great base for the honeydew to shine from.

Final thoughts:

This is a really clean and crisp juice, that bucks the norm and paves its own direction, with it’s crisp honeydew, yet syrupy apricot, defying all expectations.

Even after a few days vaping it, I find myself paying particular attention to how the honeydew and apricot work, or blend together and I still can’t quite wrap my head around it completely!

Great job on this one guys, it’s a brilliant idea.

Presentation:

Vapors Anonymous’s presentation is very professional. I received clear 60ml Chubby Gorilla bottles, that of course have child-proof caps and freshness seal. One great thing that I noticed, is that the freshness seal, when cracked, does not slip down over the nozzle, which is a major annoyance with other bottles. It stays where it is and doesn’t get in the way. The nozzles are a touch wider than the usual, which minimises leakage and juice seeping from the nozzle when you don’t want it to. These new Chubby Gorilla bottles are very impressive.

The labels on all of this line are fantastic, all different colours, with different fruits displayed on the front. The juice name, and this is another thing that I like, the juice general flavour/description front and centre. You won’t have to look the flavour name up online in order to know what the profile is!
The rest of the label displays the usual information, barcode, volume, nicotine level, warnings and ingredients.

Test rigs:

Haku with slam cap running a single 0.17 ET coil from “Bombers Coils” on a mech mod.
OBS Engine RTA with a 0.2ohm Stainless coil running @ approx 50-80 watts.
