eJuice Review 411: Coded – The Fountain Range by OPMH Project

Following on from the first of this range “Cherry Ice”, today’s flavour can be easily placed in the same category, a Slushie, or an “Icee” as some of us here in Australia call them.

These sweet and fruity flavours from OPHM Project, are all part of the “The Fountain” range of eliquids, created by none other than OPMH themselves.

Today, I’ll be reviewing “Coded” from “The Fountain” range by OPMH Project.
(This eliquid was supplied by the vendor.)

Flavour Description

This red soda slushy is supercharged with tangy citrus and an array of red fruits that come together to satisfy craving you didn’t know you had!

The Review:

This is definitely one flavour that packs a punch. From the candy sweetness, right through to the underlying lemonade notes, “Coded” kicks you with its fruits and citrus’s then picks you back up with it’s sugary sweetness.

You could go by their description, which is true enough, or you could describe this as a very sweet, raspberry candy, with lemonade undertones and a slight grapey tartness coming through on the exhale.

Individual Notes

There is a mix of raspberry here, not simply “Raspberry Sweet” but a few different raspberries mixed together. It has a sweetness but also a little fresh realistic raspberry that tends to show itself from time to time.

I’m thinking that there may be a touch of strawberry or grape added too, which helps add that little bit of tartness or sharpness that appears on the exhale.

An undertone of Lemon or Lemonade drifts through this flavour, always there, providing a little bit of a base for the raspberry to play off of, and giving off a little zing.

I suspect there may be a little cactus in here too, only a little, and it helps keep this flavour moist, and prevents the vape from getting dry.

Inhale & Exhale

The inhale isn’t as packed with flavour as the exhale is, but you do get a sense of where the vape is going. It’s a toned down version of the full range of intensity, yet still packing quite a sweet impact itself. At the height of the inhale, is where you’ll get that nice wet mouth sweetness, and you’ll notice the added sweetener the most.

As you exhale, the raspberry intensifies and builds smoothly, at first it’s all raspberry, but as you continue, small hints of a tart berry, like a strawberry or a red grape, punch through the raspberry adding a little extra dimension. Perfect supporting notes I think.

As the raspberry/strawberry/grape mix hits it’s peak, you’ll notice some lemon which to me, is very lemonade like, with a slight zing to it, breaks through and flushes the vape with it’s energetic citrus, acidic yet smooth and really sweet. It flows through to the end of the vape leaving you with quite a sweet candy texture in the mouth.

Final thoughts

Another really nice flavour from OPMH’s slushie range. True to it’s description, it delivers the important textures and feels that make a slushie, as well as that sweet punch of candy that you’d expect from a big bold flavour.

So far, I’ve not had any issues with wicks or coils, however I do suspect that they may gunk up a little if I vape this for a few more days, it is really quite sweet, and I can taste the artificial sweetener in here.

I think this one is my favourite so far, the Cherry not falling too far behind, but this raspberry really is something else.

Do yourself a favour, if you’re a raspberry fanatic, get stuck into some of this, you won’t regret it!

Where to Buy:

You can enquire about “The Fountain” range directly through the OPMH Project website, or purchase them from the many online and physical stores across the USA stocking them.

Colour:

Slight yellow tint

Aroma:

Raspberry

Coil and wick damage:

Small amount of coil gunking, not too bad.

PG/VG Ratio:

70%VG / 30%PG

Texture:

Sweet candy, full flavoured.

Steeping:

No steeping necessary

Presentation:

Really nice presentation here. I received clear 60ml Chubby Gorilla bottles, that of course have child-proof caps and freshness seal. One great thing that I noticed, is that the freshness seal, when cracked, does not slip down over the nozzle, which is a major annoyance with other bottles. It stays where it is and doesn’t get in the way. The nozzles are a touch wider than the usual, which minimises leakage and juice seeping from the nozzle when you don’t want it to. These bottles are very impressive.

The labels are very professional with The Fountain logo and graphic, flavour name, and all of the warning information you could every need. Best before is also on there, which is a nice touch.

Test rigs:

Haku with slam cap running a single 0.17 ET coil from “Bombers Coils” on a mech mod.
OBS Engine RTA with a 0.2ohm Stainless coil running @ approx 50-80 watts.
