e-Juice Review: Trew Brew – Lemon Meringue
Let’s take a look at some e-liquid today shall we!
Today’s e-liquid comes to you from Trew Brew, and a bloke named Colin. Colin started Trew Brews as a bit of a natural progression from getting a bunch of mates to convert over to vaping from regular cigarettes. After a while, Colin realised that they’d all be wanting e-liquids, so figured he would come up with his own recipes! It’s a classic story that more than a few e-liquid brands can relate to.
Anyway, after a lot of time, and of course money, Colin also built a clean room from scratch, where he now produces all of his delicious flavours! This is one of them!

Inhale & Exhale
On the inhale, a lovely sweet and bright lemon appears as the first flavour out of the gate. It’s warmer than most, and rather than being a sour/tart lemon, it’s sweeter, more like lemon that has been stewed.
As the inhale continues, the lemon is joined by creaminess that washes through, toning down the lemon a little all the while thickening up the entire vape with a lovely blast of vanilla as it nears the top of the inhale.
Here is where you’ll notice the meringue most. At the top of the inhale as you switch from inhale to exhale, the meringue makes itself known with an extra sweet, yet still creamy, light and fluffy meringue.
As I exhale, the meringue falls away a little as the lemon and cream once again strike a balance with the lemon contrasting against the cream so deliberately, but with a subtle smoothness. The cream blending with the meringue to create a silky and thick denseness to the vape. Sweet yet light.
The end of the exhale finishes with not much more than a toned down version of that lovely blended lemon and cream, just begging you to take another vape.
My Thoughts
Lemon Meringue. What can I say? This is it, this is a Lemon Meringue. For me, there was something missing however, and while it’s not a big deal because it doesn’t even get a mention in the name, I’d assumed that it would be there.
I really thought this would be a lemon meringue pie. There were no cookie or cake base notes in the flavour from what I could tell, well, maybe a hint of a little on the exhale, but definitely not enough to become a true lemon meringue pie. I’m thinking just a touch of Graham Cracker would simulate that pretty well.
Another little thing to add. I’m also thinking that this is quite a toned down blend. Not weak at all, but I do feel like the flavour in here could be a little more pronounced to really knock your socks off. I can understand wanting it to be smoother, and lighter, but that tends to happen the more you vape something anyway.
Those aside, this is a really tasty blend, with the lemon coming across nice and strong and not washed out at all. It holds it’s own against the cream and meringue, making for quite a dynamic flavour! Dessert vapers are going to love this one.
Good work Trew Brew!
