Nevoks Feelin Pod Review

Nevoks Feelin Pod Review

I love the vape industry, there’s always a new company starting up, ready to shake things up with new innovative products, and these guys are doing just that.

Even though Nevoks have been around for a while, they seem to have burst onto the scene of late with a couple of new innovative products, that really gel with what vapers are looking for right now.

Sometimes you come across a product that has just been so well refined, and so well thought out, that it’s an absolute pleasure to use. Read on to find out whether today’s device stacks up!

Let’s take a look at the Nevoks Feelin Pod!

Big thanks goes to FlavourHype Distribution for sending this through to me for review!

General Info

The Feelin Pod by Nevoks is quite small, a little wider than other Pods, but also a little shorter too. It’s only 99.5 * 22 * 18mm in fact, which puts it firmly in the stick pod category.

It’s quite surprising the amount of tech that is included with the Feelin Pod. From it’s 1000mah internal battery, to it’s 2.8ml Pod, dual airflow modes, 3 adjustable power levels and it’s USB Type-C fast charge port.

Without spoiling things before I get to the relevent sections of the review, the Feelin Pod, allows both MTL and DTL type inhales by simply switching the orientation of how the Pod is installed, and they’ve done it so well!. I can get a really nice tight MTL draw from it, and if I’m feeling like it, spin the Pod around for a restricted more airy direct to lung vape.

To further improve the vape when going from MTL to DTL vaping, the Feelin also has 3 power modes that you switch through by clicking the fire button 3 times to cycle through.

Now that is pretty nice, and it works so well too!

The Body

A lot of attention to detail has been put into how this device feels in the hand (hence the name ‘Feelin’), from it’s silky smooth finish, to it’s form factor that is a little thicker than other Pods, but at the same time seems to just mould to the hand so much better.

With it’s curved edges and smooth accents, the very shape is both attractive and appealing. There is a TPE coating over the main section of the device, it feels a little like a light rubber coating, but also seems to stand up to scratches quite well too, it feels silky smooth and really accentuates the general shape of the device, with a nice hand feel. I love how all of the visual accents are either bevelled or rounded off, it’s a nice soft and understated design.

Up top you’ll find your Pod recess, you’ll find 4 magnets, and two gold plated pin connectors in there, as well as the auto-draw tube. It all looks to be quite well sealed, so you should have no issues if ever you get a little e-liquid in there.

Just below this is the airflow. If you look closely at the Pod and these airholes, you’ll notice that one side has much more air coming to the coil than the other, this is the Feelin’s two airflow modes. Below the airflow inlet, is a USB Type-C charge port which provides up to 1.5A of power to get that battery charged quick smart.

Last but not least is the fire button and LED’s. These can be found on the front face, with the fire button nicely chamfered, and the 3 LED’s that tell you not only which mode you’re in but how much battery you have left, are right below this.

The PODs

The Pods for the Nevoks Feelin, aren’t anything special, but they are everything you might want in a Pod. Nice clear walls so that you can see your e-liquid, a removable push in coil, 2 airflow options (depending on which way around the Pod is inserted), and a nice little erganomic mouth piece. This mouth piece also has a coating that is very similar to the rest of the device also, which gives a little bit of a grip on the lips, and is quite comfortable.

Made from a Polycarbonate plastic, the side walls of the Pod are completely clear, allowing you to see your e-liquid level really easily, something that a lot of Pods don’t do unfortunately, but I think it’s definitely the right way to go. Below, the plastic is frosted a little, I’m not sure why this was done, but the Pods do slide into the main body of the device really smoothly, with very little movement, so perhaps this helps with the tolerances.

You push your premade coil into the Pod, it’s a snug fit and you’ll need to put a bit of muscle into it, but it does slide in smoothly.

You’ll get two different coils in the kit. Both of them are mesh coils and have some really great flavour. Also of note, I’ve never had one of them leak through the base of the coil, like other brands have!!!

They are:

  • SPL Mesh Coil 0.6 Ohm (18w – 25w)
This coil is for you Restricted Direct to lung vapers, you’ll get a maximum 25 Watts of almost open DTL vaping with the airflow set to the open position, and a medium to tight MTL experience with it in the tighter setting.
  • SPL Mesh Coil 1.0 Ohm (10w – 13w)
This coil is ideal for lower wattage MTL hits, it does a great job, you’ll get a tighter vape from it. With the Pod inserted in the more open airflow option, you’ll get quite a slightly less than open MTL draw, and swinging it around to the other side, you’ll get a much tighter, MTL draw from it. Not super super tight, but you can always cover the airholes a little with your finger if you so wish.

Airflow

As mentioned earlier, the Nevoks Feelin has a kind of airflow adjustment. Well perhaps not really adjustment, more like 2 set options. You can choose between two airflow settings depending on which way you have the Pod inserted into the main device. On one side, you’ll get a slightly more open draw than the other. The difference is quite noticeable, I think Nevoks have done a great job here getting these airflow settings really spot on.

The restricted DTL option is perfect for the style of vaping that I do, and the MTL option is spot on for how I like to vape when I’m vaping MTL also.

Battery

The battery that comes in the Nevoks Feelin, isn’t huge, but 1000mah is pretty good for this sized Pod system, and considering you’ll be spending your time vaping at under 25 Watts, will last you quite a while.

In case you do need to charge in a hurry though, Nevoks have provided us with a USB Type-C charge port, that will allow you to charge at 1.5A, and get you charged to 100% in less than an hour.

Filling

As with any modern Pod system the Nevoks Feelin is easy to fill, just remove the Pod, turn it on it’s side, pull up the fill plug and fill.
The fill port is on the side of the Pod, and large enough to fit most bottle nozzles, while leaving a little room to allow air to release, making sure you don’t get any blowback and can fill the Pod to 100%.

Any Leaks?

None at all, I haven’t even seen any seepage. The smallest amount of condensation appears under the Pod after time, but that is it. This is a pretty clean operating Pod device!

Usage

The Nevoks Feelin is super simple to use. With only the one button, it would be easy to think there isn’t much to it and it only being a straight up fire at a specific wattage device. But it does in fact have a power setting where you can choose between 3 different wattage settings.

Press the button x3 times, and you’re wattage setting will move to the next level.

1 Light = 3.1v, 0.6ohm = 18w, 1.0ohm = 10w
2 Lights = 3.4v, 0.6ohm = 19.5w, 1.0ohm = 11.5w
3 Lights = 3.7v, 0.6ohm = 22w, 1.0ohm = 13w

The 3 LED’s on the body of the device, can also tell you how much battery you have left. Simply click the button once and the buttons should light up according to how much charge you have.

3 Lights = Above 70%
2 Lights = 30% to 70%
1 Light = Below 30%

The Nevoks Feelin can be operated by button press, or auto-draw, whichever you prefer, and both are available at all times. The auto draw is really nice and responsive, I’ve rarely had any issues with it, and it’s quite reliable, activating with minimal airflow, it just works great.

Pros:

  • Great hand feel and ergonomics
  • Small form factor
  • Quality build
  • Excellent airflow for both MTL and DTL options
  • Excellent flavour
  • Easy to use
  • USB Type-C charging
  • Supports passthrough (can vape while charging)

Cons:

  • E-liquid capacity is on the small side

Where to Buy:

If you’re a store and looking to stock the Nevoks Feelin, Flavourhype Distribution are the guys to visit, they’ll hook you up with some sweet Nevoks gear.

If you’ve loved my review so much you want to get yourself one of these awesome Pod devices, you should be able to get a hold of one from many of the vape stores around the country for around about the $40 AUD pricepoint. If your local store doesn’t stock them, tell them they should!!

Conclusion

It’s not often I’m really impressed with everything on a product I’m reviewing, but I have been with the Nevoks Feelin. It’s a fantastic little device, and I’m really pleased with how much refinement has gone into this product. Nevoks have gone above and beyond to make sure every minute detail has been taken into consideration, and made sure it works flawlessly!

While the specs aren’t earth shattering, the 1000mah battery will get you through a day of vaping, the 2.8ml Pod is super simple to fill, and the ability to switch between DTL and MTL vaping styles while still getting the correct power to airflow ratio is just brilliant.

From the feel, and form factor, to the shape, size and finish, and all of the bells and whistles, Nevoks have done a wonderful job with the Feelin Pod. It’s so good I’m really keen to see what Nevoks have in store for us next!
