e-Liquid Review: Tai from Aura eLiquid range

e-Liquid Review: Tai from Aura eLiquid range

Welcome back to another Aussie eLiquid review. As you know, this week I’ve been taking a look at the Aura range of juices, brought to you by Vapoureyes, and produced in conjunction with some of their staff members.

Each flavour from this range is named after one of the ladies that helped with it’s development, all in celebration of International Women’s Day!

Today I’ll be reviewing “Tai” from the Aura eLiquid range.

(This eliquid was supplied by the vendor for review.)

Flavour Description

[From the website]
Tai’s here to loosen up your knots with a cool and sweet flavour that’ll tickle your tastebuds.
Juicy papaya, zesty bergamot orange, and sweet guava come together in this unique tropical flavour that’ll keep you coming back for more!

The Review

Here’s another extra fruity blend, it’s a bit of a trend with this line!
There’s a few interesting fruits blended into this one, Papaya, orange and guava make an appearance making this a tropical mix you won’t soon forget!

“This one is a little more tropical than the others in this range, blending some niche fruits, to create a sweet fruit medley for all of the fruit lovers out there!”

Individual Notes

Papaya, is one of my favourite fruits and in this flavour acts as the backbone of the entire mix, ensuring things go smoothly, it provides the base with it’s sweeter melon notes, full and robust characteristics.

Guava makes an appearance here too, sweet, sharp and juicy.
It’s a light flavour but blends really well over the top of the Papaya, it does have a slightly muddy feel to it however.

Orange, this one is described as a zesty bergamot orange, and that’s a pretty fair description. I find it adding a little bitterness to the mix, brightening things up a little and helping to remove some of that dullness that can happen with papaya.

Last but not least, we have a little menthol. Im not sure if it’s menthol or cooling agent, but it adds the slightest bit of chill right at the end of the exhale.

Inhale & Exhale

Papaya and Guava lead the charge straight away on the inhale, with the Papaya creating the background fullness, it’s usual distinct notes, with the Guava washing over the top a little.
As I inhale, both increase in intensity and fullness with quite a sweet natural fruit feel as well as a light organic note that begins to build.

As I reach the top of the inhale, the bergamot orange appears with it’s sweet bitterness, and light citrus notes, freshening up the duller organic feel of the blend creating some brightness at this tallest point.

Going into the exhale, that bergamot orange really does take charge with the Guava and Papaya pulling up in the background. There is a distinct contrast between these two profiles, the brighter orange, really does help pull the Papaya and Guava up a little and allows this flavour to hit an extra range of complexity.

It’s a smooth mix with a fruity cocktail feel through the rest of the exhale with a light chill and sweet syrupy fruit overtones.

Final thoughts

I won’t lie, this is not my favourite of the range so far. I’ve found that the Guava really introduces an organic muddled feel to this one, and muddled flavours aren’t my favourite 🙂

I do love the Bergamot Orange that has been added, it brings with it a nice bitterness, and clean feel in contrast against the fuller bodied Papaya and the slightly muddled Guava.

Having said all of that, this is a nice blend, a unique tropical flavour that fruit lovers will want to try, I found it personally to be a good flavour, just not out of this world.

Presentation:

Some nice artwork here. I received tinted Chubby Gorilla bottles with child proof caps and needle tip dispensers. The labels are glossy with a dark background, the Aura brand name front and centre along with the flavour name below it, easy to see. The front of the label depicting a lady sitting in the lotus position has a colour coded background where the background colour changes depending on the flavour.

On the other side of the labels is where all of the info is. Ingredients, warnings, website, manufacturer line, and barcode.
I did not see a PG/VG ratio nor a bottle size printed on the label, although this can be retrieved from the Vapoureyes website anyway.

Test rigs:

Original Haku Cruiser running a single 0.17 framed staple coil on a mech mod.
Augvape Intake RTA with a 0.2ohm Stainless coil running @ approx 50-80 watts.
