eLiquid Review: Stella from Regency Vapour

eLiquid Review: Stella from Regency Vapour

Some of you may not have heard of them before, but for those of you that have, know that HAKU engineering developed not just one, but 4 top notch atomisers (RDA’s and RTA’s) for us vaping public to enjoy.

The original Phenom and Cruiser RDA’s were fantastic, quickly followed by their “Venna” and then their “Riviera”, a take on the old genesis style tank, really more of a modern RDTA.

Haku have done a little more than that however, and have also produced their own eLiquid line, called Regency Vapour.

If the HAKU products are anything to go by, then the quality of this juice range is going to be out of this world!

Today, I’ll be reviewing “Stella” from Regency Vapour.

(This eliquid was supplied by the vendor for review.)

Flavour Description

“Passionfruit Pavlova with Ice Cream”

The Review

This one is an interesting idea for a flavour, while passionfruit has long been associated with a Pavlova, Ice Cream not so much, but you can imagine the chilled dessert with Vanilla undertones to work really well against the fruits and meringue of a Pavlova!

And so it does, this favourite dessert for many Australians comes well complimented with thick and creamy Vanilla Ice Cream which helps to add character to the meringue as well as an extra depth for the passionfruit to cling to.

“Stella is a delightfully thick and creamy dessert with tasty vanilla, sweet sticky meringue and a Passionfruit that cuts straight through”

Individual Notes

The Passionfruit in this is quite a good blend. It’s punchy where it needs to be and smoothes out with the cream quite well. Sweet with a little bitterness, it travels along the entire vape consistently.

The Pavlova described, is more of a meringue than a full on pavlova, I can’t say that I notice any other fruits here, besides the Passionfruit, hiding in there may be some kiwi, but this part is dominantly sticky sweet meringue.

The ice cream is great, it adds depth to the rest of the flavours, and fills the profile up with some additional vanilla and smoother tones.

Inhale & Exhale

On the inhale its all creams, meringue and ice cream. Fairly subdued at this point, but smooth and thick in texture. As the inhale continues, the creams get a little thicker and some extra flavour starts to come through, notably the vanilla and a little marshmallow like sweetness from the meringue.

A fruity passionfruit emerges slowly from the creams, slowly and with a fruity finish gradually working it’s way in right up until the top of the inhale, where it sharpens a little and breaks away from the creams, creating quite a fruity contrast. There’s some tartness here, a little bitterness, but sweet all at the same time. I don’t notice any nasty notes as you sometimes get from passionfruit, just a little floral on the trailing end.

Over to the exhale, the passionfruit continues with it’s separated intensity until about halfway through, where it falls back a little allowing itself to be enveloped by the meringue and ice creams. It’s more of the texture overtaking than a flavour switch, as the creams thicken even more with the passionfruit taking on more of a fruity swirl feel through the rest of the flavour.

Everything finishes with a slightly floral, yet fruity, creamy profile, a dessert worthy of it’s description!

Final thoughts

This is a lovely flavour, both in flavour and texture. The fruits and creams come together really well, and the passionfruit actually provides a little floral note too, something I wasn’t expecting, but also not your typical dry floral. This works in well with the rest of the flavour only complimenting what is there already.

What a fantastic first flavour as an introduction to this line, great work guys!

Where to Buy:

You can pick up all of the Regency Vapour range from the Regency Vapour Australia website, the Regency Vapour UK website, or from their many stockists.

Colour:

Light Honey Tint

Aroma:

Floral Passionfruit & Cream

Coil and wick damage:

No noticeable damage to wicks or coils.

PG/VG Ratio:

80VG/20PG

Texture:

Smooth and creamy with a fruit kick.

Steeping:

A steep is definitely recommended for this one.

Presentation:

Great regal looking presentation. I received dark tinted 60ml Chubby Gorilla style bottles with childproof caps, and needle tip dispensers.

The darker labels with gold accents give things quite an elegent look, which matches with Regency’s scripted logo and general theme.

These have pretty minimal information on them, mainly, logo & brand, juice name, 18+, 0mg Nicotine, and a skull warning icon. I would have liked to have seen a lot more information on here.

Test rigs:

Original Haku Cruiser running a single 0.17 framed staple coil on a mech mod.
Augvape Intake RTA with a 0.2ohm Stainless coil running @ approx 50-80 watts.
Bonza RDA with x2 Framed Stapled coils (0.2 ohm-ish)
