e-Liquid Review: Stacey from Aura eLiquid range

e-Liquid Review: Stacey from Aura eLiquid range

I’m continuing on with the Aura range of e-liquid reviews today, this is the 4th in the 5 flavour range.

The Aura ejuice range is a brand brought to you by Vapoureyes, not just Vapoureyes as a company either, this particular range was put together by some of the staff that work there. Specifically the ladies of Vapoureyes.

Each flavour was lovingly created and developed by the staff member named on the bottle along-side Vapoureyes’ pro mixologists to bring you a range in celebration of International Women’s day.

Today I’ll be reviewing “Stacey” from the Aura eLiquid range.

(This eliquid was supplied by the vendor for review.)

Flavour Description

[From the website]
Forget her mum, Stacey’s flav has got it goin’ on!
As she’s known around the warehouse, Stax has bought us a wonderfully juicy fruit punch, a medley of shiny red apples, fresh nectarines, sweet mango and ripe cantaloupe! All of these fruits are bought together by a light coolness to freshen up your palate as much as she’s brought us all a fresh outlook on life <3

The Review

Apple is a great flavour to mix with any fruit, it’s a really distinct flavour, and depending on which apple you use, it can add various textures to the flavour. A sharper green apple can add some punch to a flavour, creating a more acidic and tart taller note, adding a lot of definition. Then there is Red apple, which happens to be in this mix. It adds a rounder, fuller and more textured flavour to a blend, bridging other flavours and creating some real sweetness to a mix.

‘Stacey’, while predominantly apple, also has Nectarine, Cantaloupe and Mango blending to create a lovely fruit punch profile.

“The Red Apple kicks butt in this flavour, washing over the top of Mango, Cantaloupe and Nectarine to create a full textured and tasty fruit punch profile.”

Individual Notes

Red Apple really is the dominant note in this flavour, it’s juicy, yet full textured apple flesh, the kind where you sink your teeth into it and you get that slightly powdery full textured wholeness, with just enough juice to give you a small acidic kick.

Nectarine, which you might not notice, also fills out this profile, adding a little bit of a stone fruit texture as well as helping fill the flavour out with a background fullness.

On a similar vein as the Nectarine, Mango presents itself on the silky texture side of things, more of a mango flesh, with a syrupy juice feel, it also fills out the flavour making this quite a robust blend.

Cantaloupe. I really don’t notice this much. It doesn’t bring alot to the party, except a light melon, almost pithy, and organic. The Cantaloupe breaks up the sweetness, adding a little more dimension.

Inhale & Exhale

On the inhale, the Apple dominates straight away. With light nectarine notes, hovering in the background, it’s a fuller apple, not quite as crisp as a green apple, instead with quite a lot of tangy body to it.
As the inhale continues, the flavour ramps up, strengthening the bond between the apple and nectarine, with the nectarine adding some syrupy juiciness as you go.

At the top of the inhale, the apple is still really dominating the flavour, with the dryer acidic feel shifting to the front of the palate, while a little mango flesh aligns with the Nectarine for a juicy, fleshy background.

On the exhale, the apple remains quite a significant note, as the syrupy Nectarine and Mango fill the flavour out, with a touch of Cantaloupe contrasting against the previous three flavours with a light melon organic feel. You’ll notice the menthol appear here, gradually getting stronger and cooler as you get to the end of the exhale. The menthol is noticeable, but not over the top, giving the exhale a nice fresh feel, while it’s still full textured and syrupy sweet.

Final thoughts

I’ve enjoyed this flavour quite a lot, it’s a great flavour that you can just pick up and run with, without thinking about it. You know those situations where you’re looking for something to vape for the day and, this ends up getting put in a tank because it’s a great no frills flavour.

I did notice things getting muddled about midway through the vape, which doesn’t really detract, as it is afterall a fruit punch, but a little separation or a greater contrast between flavours might have made this a little more dynamic.

Good work guys!

This is a pretty clean flavour that won’t darken your wicks too quickly.

PG/VG Ratio:

70VG/30PG

Sharp and bright and a little syrupy

No steeping necessary.

Presentation:

Some nice artwork here. I received tinted Chubby Gorilla bottles with child proof caps and needle tip dispensers. The labels are glossy with a dark background, the Aura brand name front and centre along with the flavour name below it, easy to see. The front of the label depicting a lady sitting in the lotus position has a colour coded background where the background colour changes depending on the flavour.

On the other side of the labels is where all of the info is. Ingredients, warnings, website, manufacturer line, and barcode.
I did not see a PG/VG ratio nor a bottle size printed on the label, although this can be retrieved from the Vapoureyes website anyway.

Test rigs:

Original Haku Cruiser running a single 0.17 framed staple coil on a mech mod.
Augvape Intake RTA with a 0.2ohm Stainless coil running @ approx 50-80 watts.
