e-Liquid Review: S’Mores from the Chocolatier Vape Co

e-Liquid Review: S’Mores from the Chocolatier Vape Co

Hello again, welcome back to another e-liquid review here at Vapers Garage. In previous reviews I’ve taken a look at a few other flavours from the Chocolatier Vape Co and found them to be some pretty standup eliquids.

This is the 4th of the series, and likely one of the more popular flavours available, (everyone loves a chocolate biscuit!)

Today, I’ll be reviewing “S’Mores” from The Chocolatier Vape Co.

(This eliquid was supplied by the vendor for review.)

Flavour Description

[From the website]
“A famous American treat usually served as two slices of graham cracker encasing marshmallow and chocolate.

The Chocolatier’s S’mores is a more modern take on this yummy dessert, simply served in a tall glass with vanilla ice cream and chocolate syrup smashed with biscuit and dusted with cinnamon sugar. ”

The Review

I’ve never had S’Mores before. I understand the concept, and remember there being an ice cream available here in Australia years back that had a very similar profile to it. From Maxibons to the old Ice Cream Sandwich, we may not be too familiar with the American treat, but we’ve certainly got our very own offerings, and let’s face it, it’s pretty easy to picture how these are supposed to taste.

“S’mores” from the Chocolatier Vape Co is a sweet and tasty blend of doughy chocolate cookie, vanilla ice cream, marshmallow and cinnamon. Just that description should have to salivating, because it’s delicious.

“S’mores has a very full flavour profile with several of the more robust backnotes combining to create a grand base, while the mid range flavours make up the centre, ensuring that this dessert is both rich and dynamic.”

Individual Notes

The chocolate in this flavour switches around a little, starting off with more of a syrup feel, bridging into a more cocoa base with the biscuit, and then back again. Mostly sweet with the tiniest bitterness at the top of the inhale, it’s a solid and versatile chocolate. Not as dense and creamy as a milk chocolate that you would eat, but a good representation of it.

The ice cream was a touch of brilliance. It adds the much needed creamy texture to the chocolate as well as merging with the sticky marshmallow to create a hefty texture.

There is also biscuit in this flavour. Not a graham cracker as you might expect, but it’s more doughy. Almost a chocolate cookie but not as crunchie, a softer chocolate biscuit very similar to a chocolate ripple.

I actually don’t notice the Cinnamon a lot here at all. It wavers in and out, and appears here or there, but for the most part, it’s there as an extra bridging note that backs up the other flavours, helping to thicken the profile out whilst adding a little sweetness along the way.

Finger Test

Straight off the finger, I get all of the flavours at once, chocolate, marshmallow, biscuit and light cinnamon. They’re a blend, none standing out more so than others, yet each is easy to pick out of the mix.
Sweet, creamy with a little richness on the back of the tongue this has a real chocolate cookie tone to me. More cookie than dessert, with a little marshmallow thrown in for good measure.

Inhale & Exhale

The inhale and exhale are very similar with this one, you won’t see a huge difference between the two, a little altered texture, but that is about it.

The flavour on the inhale hits you pretty quickly, washing over your taste-buds, from chocolate to vanilla, then the richness of biscuit and a light cinnamon. In the beginning the chocolate is lightly blended with the vanilla, giving off quite a marshmallow feel, a little sticky and sweet. As the inhale continues though, the chocolate seems to intensify while the vanilla stays at it’s same level, allowing the chocolate to hover above, right to the top of the inhale.

As you begin to exhale, the chocolate richens up taking on more of a chocolate syrup feel, thick and sweet. Then, with an extra dose of cocoa, giving things a little more dimension and mimicking a chocolate biscuit both in flavour and in texture. The exhale dries out briefly while this rich doughy cookie flavour appears, but not for long, as the cream (ice cream) also comes full circle and begins to intensify, washing the cookie back all the while pushing a little cinnamon into the fray for some extra sweetness that helps bridge the chocolate, cookie and ice cream.

The rest of the exhale blends together into the one sweet biscuity, dessert flavour, smooth and creamy, slightly rich yet sweet.

Final thoughts

Quite a nice mix, the switch in the chocolate is interesting, where it turns from a syrupy chocolate to more of a biscuit base and back again. Just like previous flavours, it’s not overbearing at all, and I’m guessing dialed back a little to ensure that the chocolate does not overpower everything else.

The marshmallow works well as does the vanilla ice cream, to give the texture some creaminess, and solid texture.

Overall a very pleasant dessert flavour, there’s a smooth intensity here that is just lovely and everything is balanced exceptionally well!

Well done guys!

Presentation:

Very very impressive presentation here. The Chocolatier Vape Co have done a wonderful job on their bottles and labelling. I received 100ml Chubby Gorilla styled bottles, tinted, with childproof and tamper proof seals, with a needle tip dispenser in the cap.

The labels are your usual matt labels, with each flavour sporting a different shade of colour. The branding is gorgeous with the company name and flavour name front and centre on a patterned background. There’s plenty of information here too, from ingredients, warnings, born date, size, PG/VG ratio, social media info, barcode and company details.

I love to see labels with all of that info, it shows that Aussie juice companies are serious in competing with international brands.

Augvape Intake RTA with a 0.2ohm Stainless coil running @ approx 50-80 watts.
