e-Liquid Review: Real Money by Opulence Vapors

I’ve got some more juice from across the pond for you all today. This one comes from VapeCraft, over in California, and is a rebrand of one of their other lines. This one used to be called “Stunna – Cash Money”.

Opulence E-Liquid is a two flavor premium e-liquid line. Crafted by VapeCraft, you can expect delicious flavors, and of course a level of Opulence you can only get from Vape Craft.

Today, I’ll be reviewing “Real Money” from the Opulence Vapors range.

The Review

There are a tonne of custards around, really, it’s probably one of the most prolific flavours and a very common favourite. Most are pretty similar, being a flavourists version of the real thing, a little artificial, yet still creamy with a nice complex undertone.
You’ll find them vary from strong to weak, to even watery in texture, and blended with that many other flavours, in an effort to create something a little different, it’s crazy.

“Real Money” isn’t something revolutionary, it’s not a new flavour blend, it doesn’t blow you away, it’s a simple no nonsense mix of various complimentary flavours and of course the vanilla custard.

While it’s not something that will have you stand back in awe, I’ve enjoyed this one over many others, purely due to it’s flavour intensity. You see, this has everything you’d want and more in a custard blend, but it doesn’t smack you in the face with flavour so hard that 2 days later you’ll be struggling to taste it. It’s lighter than others, just as complex, but won’t bring on that flavour fatigue that so often ruins some great mixes.

“Real Money” is a delicate, dialed back vanilla custard blended with hints of bourbon, brown sugar and cheesecake. It’s flavour packed, thick and creamy, yet easy to vape all day without getting tired of it.

Individual Notes

The vanilla custard here is just that, your standard vanilla custard. It’s very much a Capella or Flavorah vanilla custard, not quite realistic, but also not overly fake. It’s a great base to start with as it has quite a nice texture to it, feels slightly complex, and offers up that nice thick creamy feel.

Under the custard is a light bourbon, it’s not really a primary flavour, and some of you might struggle to find it, but it adds some depth, and a little kick off the back of the palate. Think smokier tones rather than that alcohol hit and you’re getting closer to the mark.

There’s also a little cheesecake in here too. I think it’s a great addition, and it’s added with an experienced hand. Just a touch to add even more complexity, without driving the custard out as the main note.
You’ll notice light cheesecake base and a hint of tartness, along with a dusting of coconut at times.

Inhale & Exhale

The inhale is all custard, vanilla and thick creamy textures roll off your tongue right from the beginning. You’ll also notice a little more complexity here too, in the introduction of the bourbon and what I feel is a little bavarian cream as you build up to the top of the inhale.

Once you hit the peak, you’ll understand the depth that I’m talking about, while this is a pretty simple mix, the flavours chosen really beef up the background, creating quite a depth with the complimentary notes.
The bourbon is most noticeable here with it’s slightly smokey, and sharpened top end, the tartness of the cheesecake is also just noticeable here too.

Over to the exhale, the bourbon falls back into the custard and richer bavarian notes, as a pleasant coconut feel washes over things. It’s just a feel, not so much a coconut flavour, drying things out a little, and changing the profile a little.

This is all chased down at the end by the vanilla building up and leaving you with that familiar smooth and silky vanilla custard feel as you finish your exhale.

Final thoughts

I quite like this one, some will say that it’s dialled back too much, but I find that it’s just at that right intensity, for me to want to hunt for individual notes, whilst not getting tired of the profile.

Thick creamy vanilla custard, propped up with faint whispers of bourbon and cheesecake, is right up my alley.

You’ll get more flavour from this through a condensed chamber tank than an airy RDA so if it’s extra flavour you’re after, I’d suggest that, but otherwise, I find it a pleasurable vape, very well blended, and delicately balanced to create a tasty unobtrusive custard.

Oh, and this is a very clean juice too, I had zero issues with gunking coils or darkened wicks, so a great flavour to run through those setups that you hate rebuilding!

Nice work guys!

Where to Buy:

You can pick this gem up directly from the VapeCraft online store for $22.99USD or from one of their many resellers.

Colour:

Honey Tint

Aroma:

Rich Custard and thick Sweet Pastry

Coil and wick damage:

This is a pretty clean flavour, obviously being a dessert, you can expect a little deterioration of your coils and wicks, but all in all, you’ll get a decent amount of time with this before needing a dry burn and re-wick.

PG/VG Ratio:

70VG/30PG

Texture:

Thick and creamy dessert

Steeping:

A steep is definitely recommended.

Presentation:

The presentation of this one is pretty good. Just like most of VapeCraft’s brands, the labels are very professional.

I received 120ml Chubby Gorilla bottles, dark tinted with black caps, tamper proof seal, and all child-proof.

The label for this one is red/maroon with gold accents and a patterned background. You’ll notice the brand and juice name at the front, along with the nicotine strength and bottle size, and a nice big nicotine warning.

On the side, even more warnings, ingredients list and barcode. All in all pretty simple, but professional.

Test rigs:

Original Haku Cruiser running a single 0.17 framed staple coil on a mech mod.
Augvape Intake RTA with a 0.2ohm Stainless coil running @ approx 50-80 watts.
Bonza RDA with x2 Framed Stapled coils (0.2 ohm-ish)
