eLiquid Review 470: Pink Bits by Hoots Premium Blends

Ok gang, here is the one you’ve all been waiting for! Today’s flavour is a favourite of many, has a huge following, high praises from most whom have tried it, and has even won “Best Innovative Flavour” in the Australian Vaping Awards 2018!

Today, I’ll be reviewing “Pink Bits” from Hoots Premium Blends.

The Review

You’ll remember those pink musk sticks that you had as a kid, sometimes they’d even come in various colours, but the originals that kicked off the trend were pink and carried that distinct musk flavour. They were very sweet, sometimes very soft and you could chew them around in your mouth, sometimes very hard and you’d have to suck on them a little first!

This flavour is supposed to replicate those old musk stick candies, and boy have Hoots done a bloody great job on it! It’s no wonder this is a crowd favourite!

“Pink Bits” is just that, Musk Stick Candy, what they’ve done differently however, is to make sure that the musk is not too overpowering (musk can often become very perfumey) and that it comes across as a much cleaner flavour, whilst still retaining that classic Musk feel.

Individual Notes

Musk.

No really, thats pretty much all there is to this one. It’s a classic sweet Musk stick, a little sugary, and a little floral, but there aren’t really any other nuances in it at all. About the only thing to really mention is that the sugar is more of an icing sugar than the classic hard candy sugar, and that is about it!

Inhale & Exhale

As with the ^Additional Notes section above, the inhale and exhale, is very much the same.

Obviously the flavour is going to be less intense on the inhale, it’s a thin and less robust, but it builds to it’s highest point just as you turn onto the exhale. 

That light musk and sweetness intensifies to the exhale, where it’s at it’s strongest, floral and sweet, very full flavoured and full bodied. 

The texture here is great, it’s more icing sugar than regular hard candy, and really sets the tone to the original flavour very well.

The end of the exhale will have you tasting musk for days with it’s classic flavour leaving that light floral aftertaste.

Final thoughts

Although there isn’t a lot to say about this flavour, due to it’s simple profile, I’ve noticed that Hoots have made sure to hold back a little on the intensity of it. It’s not quite as floral, flowery, dry and in your face as others I’ve tried, and that’s a really good thing!

Hoots take you right to the edge with this flavour, making sure not to tip you over into over-flavoured territory, ensuring that “Pink Bits” can be not only be enjoyed for it’s spot on Musk Stick profile, but also so that you can vape it all day long without getting tired of it.

Hoots Premium Blends flavours arrived in 30ml clear plastic (PET) Chubby Gorilla bottles with the standard needle tip dispenser, and a child proof snap sealed screw cap.

The labels are a professional satin finish, black background with different coloured accents according to flavour, containing all of the information you might need. This includes, company logo, juice name, flavour description (love it when companies do this), VG/PG ratio, ingredients, zero nicotine declaration and website url.
