eLiquid Review 471: Nut Butter by Hoots Premium Blends

So, fresh off of reviewing one of Hoot’s Premium Blends award winning flavours, I’ve got some new stuff for you! Hoots have recently release 2 new flavours to their already awesome range of eliquids, and today I’ll be jumping on the first.

Today, I’ll be reviewing “Nut Butter” from Hoots Premium Blends.
(This eliquid was supplied by the vendor for review.)

Flavour Description

Who doesn’t love some smooth Nut Butter?

This ejuice is jam packed full of delicious nuts, creamy peanut butter & thick custard.

Some people say it is their go to morning vape to enjoy with a cup of coffee, but we reckon it is great any time.

The Review

Peanut butter profiled eliquids are fairly far and few between, whilst there are certainly many more now than there used to be, you still don’t come across them very often. I really don’t know why that is the case, perhaps there just isn’t much of a demand for them, but I’m sure today’s flavour does, if it’s any where close to as good as Hoots other juices!

To me “Nut Butter” is a blend of Peanut Butter and Hazelnut, very nutty with a slight dry texture to it, accompanied by a Vanilla Custard that provides some additional cream, thickness, depth and a smoothness that only custard can provide!

Individual Notes

First up on the list is the Peanut Butter, it’s definitely thick and creamy, with a buttery texture. In fact the creamy and buttery texture is very noticeable in comparison to the peanut, which only makes up a small part of the overall flavour. A good peanut butter base to start with and the overall feel of this part is pretty true to form.

Next comes a more generic nut nuance. I think it’s hazelnut but I could be completely wrong. It carries with it a much drier feel than the peanut butter, and subsequently also a slightly metallic or smokiness to it. A nice addition to beef up the peanut in the peanut butter.

Last but not least is the Custard. It’s smooth, thick and creamy, and acts as a bridge between the peanut butter and the hazelnut. A robust sweet custard with hints of vanilla, a wonderful back note.

Inhale & Exhale

On the inhale, you’ll notice the peanut butter right away, as always at this point the flavour is at a lower intensity and it increases as the inhale continues. The peanut butter, rich, creamy and very buttery reaches its peak at the end of the exhale, smooth, but not overly nutty, very much a smooth peanut butter than a crunchy.

When you begin the exhale, you’ll be hit by the hazelnut, it imparts a slightly dry texture, and amps up the overall nuttiness, adding some more intensity to the peanut butter and creating more of a “Crunchy” peanut butter nutty feel. There is a brief slight metallic or smokey feel at this point, almost a lull in the peanut butter. This is pretty short lived however as the custard begins to work it’s way in, smoothing everything out, blending those hazelnut and peanut butter notes together into a creamy, full bodied dessert.

All three notes come together to finish up in a thick, full textured and robust flavour that will keep your taste-buds working in overdrive!

Final thoughts

This has a really good profile to it. I appreciate the additional hazelnut added which creates more of a ‘chunky’ peanut butter feel, and it works. At the same time I find that it introduces a little too much of that dry chalky feel, and it affects the smoothness of the peanut butter.

This is my only complaint because the rest of this flavour is amazing. It’s a true peanut butter, right down to the smell. (Yes you’ll smell it everywhere, it has quite the strong scent!)

The custard is also a very nice addition, ensuring that everything stays smooth, and silky, is important, and the custard helps keep it thick and creamy.

All in all, Hoots have done a fantastic job with this one, I’ve enjoyed it very much, it’s one that the nut lovers will go crazy for!
