eLiquid Review 472: Chi Chi by Hoots Premium Blends

eLiquid Review 472: Chi Chi by Hoots Premium Blends

Well this is it folks, the last of the e-liquids that I have here to review from Hoots Premium Blends.

I have to say, there are quite a few flavours that I’ve enjoyed, and dig the fact that Hoots choose to create flavours that are a little different. This is definitely not your typical range of flavours!

Hoots prove that they’re on the ball with every one of their flavours reaching a very similar levels of flavour intensity and impact, so that you can be sure you’re getting some awesome flavour from each one!

Today, I’ll be reviewing “Chi Chi” from Hoots Premium Blends.
(This eliquid was supplied by the vendor for review.)

Flavour Description

One of our latest creations here at Hoots and one we are very excited about.

Imagine vaping on delicious white chocolate and chaì custard. We did and we made it, and you’ll be glad we did.

We have created the perfect blend of chaì spices & thick creamy custard finished off with a velvety sweet white chocolate.

THIS ONES FOR THE CHI’S!

The Review

When I read that this flavour was a Chai variant, I think I cried a little inside. The reason for this is I have never come across a Chai in vape form that I found I could vape for a decent amount of time. They are always a little obtrusive, dominated by green tea, sometimes tinny or metallic, but overall, the spices just don’t work.

This one is different, and I love it! It’s very sweet, very chocolate and custard based, with the chai being an accent rather than coming across as a strong tea nuance.

To me “Chi Chi” is a blend of thick and sweet white chocolate, and creamy custard, washed over delicate notes of tea, cinnamon, and ginger, with a little nuttiness thrown in for good measure.

Individual Notes

The white chocolate is a great addition here, creating a nice thick consistency, and a sweeter feel to the flavour. It’s not over the top or trying to be a primary flavour though, and that’s a good thing, blending with the custard makes for a delightfully desserty vape.

As mentioned above, there is some custard here too. It’s a nice milky and creamy combination with the white chocolate, with a rich custard feel and a light vanilla aroma that really bridges the gap between the custard, and spices in the chai.

Last but not least the Chai. All Chai’s are different, this, I think, is probably my favourite so far. There is a light and barely noticeable green tea nuance blended delicately with a little cinnamon for body, ginger for that peppery, bitter almost citrus note, and a complimentary nuttiness that could really be anything from hazelnut, peanut or even just acetyl pyrazine.

Inhale & Exhale

On the inhale, you’ll notice the custard and white chocolate instantly. The first to come across your palate will be the vanilla custard, a light floral, with a thick creamy base, not quite rich yet, but smooth and full profiled.

The White Chocolate arrives soon after, blending with the custard and bringing with it an even thicker sweetness, that bolsters the custard giving you a decadent dessert straight off the bat.

As you begin the exhale the Chai will creep in. Not as a whole, but gradually with each different note arriving in progression. First the tea, then the sweeter, warmer cinnamon, and peppery ginger, then finally a smooth nuttiness works its way into the mix.

By the end of the exhale, you’re treated to a thick and creamy, complex, decadent mix with a smooth nutty finish.

Final thoughts

Another flavour from the Hoots range that I’ve really enjoyed. I didn’t expect to, but this one really has grown on me. Hoots have used their master mixing skills for this one, delicately getting all of the ingredients in such a winning combination is very difficult, and they’ve done a great job.

I particularly liked the sweeter nature of the Chai. Leaning on the spices rather than the tea, Hoots have created a seamlessly blended spiced custard that has all of the complexity of a Chai but without any of the extra bitter or flat feel of the usual teas. With the addition of the White Chocolate, it’s a winner.

If you’re a custard lover I recommend this, it’s a little more complex than your usual custards, but has some very nice elements to it that you will really enjoy.

Great work guys!
