eLiquid Review 444: Mrs Claus by Vintage Cloud Co

It’s getting to that time of year again! Yep, Christmas, the silly season, holiday’s, and this year to celebrate, Vapen have been hard at work mixing and mastering a couple of new flavours that they will be releasing for a limited time!

Apparently there are only about 660 bottles of each of these flavours going around, so if you manage to snag yourself some, consider yourself lucky! Hey, it’s a limited time release, so collectors item one day?

Anyway, lets get into the holiday spirit and take a look at one of these excellent flavours from the mix-masters at Vapen! I’ll be reviewing the other one very soon!

Today, I’ll be reviewing “Mrs Claus” by Vintage Cloud co.
(This eliquid was supplied by the vendor for review.)

Flavour Description

Cool, sweet, ripe Mango & Tarty Apricot blended and smashed into a monster yoghurt mix which will have you coming back for more in true Christmas fashion.

The Review:

The woman behind the man that makes Christmas, you picture a happy, wholesome, kind and generous soul of a lady, with ample patience, and a penchant for doting over anyone she comes across. Who would Santa be without her? No-one, that’s who. She’s the wheels that keep turning, the fuel in the machine, and she deserves some recognition!!

Well, she has been honored with not only an e-liquid named after her, but an e-liquid with ingredients to match her personality, blended in a way to match her devotion to those that she thanklessly aids, so that they might get their very important work done. For an angel, must come an angelic juice.

“Mrs Claus” is a smooth blend of sweet Mango and Apricots, slowly and delicately stirred into a pot of warm yoghurt to stew their spirits together. It is sharp where it needs to be, but has an abundance of smooth sweetness, and wholesome textures, always ready to calm and comfort you with it’s well-rounded fullness.

Individual Notes

Front and centre in this flavour is the mango. It is fresh and juicy, very much a sweet mango flesh. Strong and robust, you won’t miss this note, it is very dominant throughout!

Alongside the sweet syrupy mango, lies a slightly fuller flavour. Apricot blends seamlessly to provide a base tone to the mango, another fleshy flavour, that adds to the complexity, and helps provide that full syrupy fruit profile.

You may not notice this next note very much, but it is there, and very much a part of the much larger picture. Yoghurt, makes an appearance, providing another layer of base, with it’s slightly creamy texture, and lightly soured tones that help round things out.

I can’t work out if there is cooling agent or menthol in this. It’s more prevalent on the exhale so my guess is that it’s the tiniest amount of menthol, but the addition of it is very welcomed. It ties into this profile very well.

Inhale & Exhale

On the inhale, you’ll instantly notice the Mango, it is sweet, realistic and quite syrupy, a great start with a very intense flavour! With the mango is the smallest hint of apricot strengthening toward the top of the inhale, blending seamlessly with the mango, but also providing that lower base note for the mango to cling to. A very clever combination, that works really well for a fleshy fruit taste.

Over to the exhale, the mango and apricot drive straight through, never giving up and keeping up their intensity, in a similar manner as the inhale, except this time, they are joined by a creamy texture, a thicker creamier and slightly bitter yoghurt. Despite the expectation that the yoghurt might ruin the syrupy goodness that the mango and apricot worked so hard to create, it doesn’t. This yoghurt is a perfect match for the two fruits, as it’s classic tang mingles with them, and actually lifts them up, whilst the entire profile still retains it’s thick and creamy finish. At this point you’ll notice a little chill, some coolness, which is the menthol delicately tipping in to add just that extra bit of kick.

The end of the exhale is a blend of silky smooth yet tangy yoghurt, perfectly combined with sweet and syrupy mangos and apricots with a cool and refreshing finish.

Final thoughts

I love this one. I don’t typically enjoy yoghurts, but this is so well blended, and balanced, the yoghurt does not overburden things at all. The mango and apricot are chosen well as very complimentary fruits that only benefit from that yoghurt tang and in turn enjoy an extra depth of complexity.

A very well rounded flavour that you could vape all day, winter or summer, with a little bit of a festive bite to it.

Great work as always guys!

Presentation:

As always, some very nice presentation here. I recieved a 60ml Chubby Gorilla type clear bottle, with needle tip and childproof lid. The labels look great, they have a bit of a parchment coloured background, with old school tattoo styled graphics. The information on the labels is sparse mainly consisting of where the product is made, the juice line, the flavour name, general ingredients and minimal warnings.

These bottles are really cool, while similar in shape to Chubby Gorilla bottles, with these, you can take the cap, and place it over the nozzle, pulling to one side, and the whole nozzle/needle assembly can be removed quickly, for adding nicotine, or diluting the flavour. I believe these are custom bottles only available in Adelaide.

Test rigs:

Haku with slam cap running a single 0.17 framed staple coil on a mech mod.
OBS Engine RTA with a 0.2ohm Stainless coil running @ approx 50-80 watts.
