eLiquid Review: MotherSilk – Special Edition by FlavourKraft
Today I have something pretty new and tasty. Over the next few days I’ll be taking a look at a couple of flavours from this relatively new e-liquid company, Flavour Kraft.
If you’ve not heard of them before, Flavour Kraft, started out about a year ago, looking to bring a level of luxury to vaping with their premium branded e-liquids.
Hailing from Perth in Western Australia, Flavour Kraft are out to challenge the preconception that USA & European e-liquids are superior to Australian Made juices.
Their Chief Flavourist has over 9 years experience in e-liquid blending, which certainly is a long amount of time in the Vape world. I’m expecting some big things!
Lets take a look!
Today, I’ll be reviewing “MotherSilk – Special Edition” from FlavourKraft.

The Review
They weren’t wrong when they mentioned exquisite creams in the description!
This strawberry cream, is also, so much more than a simple strawberry and cream. The strawberry for example is quite dynamic, with lower and higher tones all coming together to create a very bright and flavourful strawberry.
The creams to their testament are thick and rich, more like a custard than a cream, and we all know how well a strawberry custard works!

Individual Notes
The strawberry is quite a dynamic strawberry. Sharp and tart, yet smooth and kind of fuzzy around the edges. This is a zingy strawberry, a little realistic, a little candy, with a very real ‘Strawberry Ripe’ feel to it.
The creams in this flavour are thick, sticky and sweet. If you think of a sweet cream, blended with marshmallow and icing sugar, you’re getting pretty close to the profile. These thick custard like creams keep things interesting and add a little more complexity to the overall profile.
Inhale & Exhale
On the inhale, I immediately notice that familiar “Strawberry Ripe” taste, it’s a tangy strawberry with a slight tartness to it, but rather than being a full on bright and sharp strawberry, it has quite a lot of body to it.
This one has tartness, sweetness, fullness, all working together to create quite a robust and full flavoured strawberry, you really couldn’t ask for a better strawberry. This intensifies as you inhale, and only gets more tangy, and flavoursome.
The strawberry is quickly joined by the creams, at this point they are lighter, yet already have quite a thick stickiness to them. Sweet cream and light vanilla custard tones fill your nostrils as you vape, further emphasising the strawberry custard theme.
Once you hit the peak of intensity at the end of the inhale, the strawberry stays pretty consistent, it’s a strong strawberry, but due to the cream and custard ever increasing it seems to fall back a little allowing that thick almost marshmallow stickiness to dominate.
This dance between the strawberry’s base tones, and taller notes poking through the sticky creams and rich custard carries on throughout the rest of the exhale, providing quite a solid and robust profile and exuding a level of decadence few other profiles provide.
Final thoughts
I haven’t had a strawberry custard in a while, and vaping this reminds me of how much I used to love them.
While I did find that this seems like more of a strawberry custard than a strawberry cream, there are moments where you do a double take and get an inkling of a sweet artificial strawberry milkshake. That alternate profile mixed in with the custard is quite a nice touch, and makes sure that this flavour can be an all day vape.
It is very difficult to get tired of!
Would I change anything? No, I wouldn’t, this is a very pleasant flavour, thick and versatile, layered and flavoursome.

Presentation:
Very professional packaging here! I received Clear 60ml Chubby Gorilla bottles, filled to 50ml, with clear child-proof and sealed caps, and needle tip dispensers.
The labels are of great quality, with offset or digital printing, and overprint in UV clear giving the logo and flavour name a little more impact. The usual warnings and ingredient lists are shown as well as bottle size, VG/PG ratio, Zero nicotine declaration and the FlavourKraft website url.
Test rigs:
Original Haku Cruiser running a single 0.17 framed staple coil on a mech mod.
Augvape Intake RTA with a 0.2ohm Stainless coil running @ approx 50-80 watts.
Bonza RDA with x2 Framed Stapled coils (0.2 ohm-ish)
