e-Liquid Review: Mangos Gone Mandarins the Fruit Monster range

e-Liquid Review: Mangos Gone Mandarins the Fruit Monster range

I did hint that this review might be going live yesterday, but I’ve pushed it out until today, mainly due to wanting to just give this one a little extra time and make sure I’ve picked up the profile correctly.

This next flavour is from the Australian brand “Fruit Monster”, which is a range of nothing but fantastic authentic fruit blends that really will blow you away.
I highly recommend this range for all you fruit lovers, every flavour is blended with love and a deft hand at mixing. They’re all naturally sweet and refreshing profiles too!

Today, I’ll be reviewing “Mangos Gone Mandarins” from the Fruit Monster range.

(This eliquid was supplied by the vendor for review.)

Flavour Description

[From the website]
“A frightening combo of Mangos and Mandarins.”

The Review

This profile simply works. It’s not just their colour that makes them work well, Mangos and Mandarins blend very cleanly, each slightly different in texture and flavour than the other, all the while being totally complimentary and creating quite a robust and dynamic mix.

I’d define this one as very much a “Fruit Juice” type of flavour, not your usual light fruit juice with a thin consistency though, a little thicker than that, due to the full on texture of the mango.

Bright and sharp, smooth and robust, this flavour is going to impress you with it’s realistic fruit juice profile and keep you coming back for more.

“Mangos Gone Mandarins is a robust juicy fruit blend that is bright and sweet with a thicker Smoothie profile”

Individual Notes

The Mandarin here is great, sharp and bright in the right places, and subdued where it needs to be. It’s quite a realistic mandarin, not quite as acidic or citrusy as the real thing, but very much a bang on Mandarin flavour. I’m finding that this is probably the lighter of the two flavours and it tends to wash out a little compared to the Mango.

Now the Mango, this is delicious, it’s smooth, sweet and full bodied. Throw in juicy, flavourful and realistically syrupy, and you’ve got a winner.
This is exactly how a mango is and should be, sweet Mango flesh, with minimal skin notes, and a texture that will have you thinking you’re actually eating the fruit.

Inhale & Exhale

On the inhale, it’s all thick juicy mango, granted, not quite as strong at this point as it will be but, you’ll notice it instantly. It gradually increases in intensity as the inhale continues, what you’ll also notice is the subtle mandarin creeping in too. This also intensifies as you inhale, slowly washing in the sweet citrus of Mandarin, creating quite a contrast between the silky mango flesh notes and the sharper, brighter Mandarin.

The depth of flavour hits it’s peak at the top of the inhale, providing a depth that only two differing fruits can offer. Sweet and thick, bolstered by tart and bright, low and tall notes blending together and morphing into something quite special.

On the exhale, any tartness or brighter citrus notes begin to dull down, as the Mango overtakes the Mandarin, with it’s silky smooth fruit flesh and base notes. There is a little Mandarin left over, but it’s definitely not strong at this point, more washing in and out throughout the dominant Mango, accentuating it rather than announcing itself as an independant flavour.
The end of the exhale finishes in quite a rich and sweet fruit medley, very much a Smoothie finish.

Final thoughts

This is a delicious fruit juice flavour that is both clean tasting as well as full flavoured, thick and syrupy. The Mango provides that thick Smoothie type of feel, while the sweet Mandarin washes over it creating quite a dynamic fruit blend.

I love how the full flavour Mango can still be influenced by a normally lighter flavour, with the Mandarin contributing a much deeper contrasting note than the Mango has alone.

Sweet and Citrus combine for one excellent vape.

Great work guys!
