These guys have sales and promos all the time too, so you’re guaranteed to pick a few things up without breaking the bank.

While Vape Wild’s flavours don’t pretend to be “Premium”, you’ll find quite a few great flavours in their selection. You’ll also get fantastic customer service from these guys. They go above and beyond for their customers, often dropping freebies in orders, and making your buying experience as seamless as possible.

Today, I’ll be reviewing “King Cake” from VapeWild.
(This eliquid was supplied by the vendor for review.)

Flavour Description

[From the website]

Royally deep with flavor, King Cake obviously holds the crown in dessert e-liquids. Mimicking the heavenly King Cakes found only during Mardi Gras, this full-flavored vape hits all the right notes by blending doughy cake, gooey frosting and a burst of dessert cinnamon rounding it off. Dessert lovers everywhere will feel positively regal. Crowns not included.

Primary Flavors: Cake, Frosting and Cinnamon

The Review

This is a pretty tasty juice, there’s a definite bakery/cake note that is a little doughy, but also a little sponge cake.
“King Cake” is a sweet, thick and moist sponge, quite dense on the profile, with cake notes seamlessly blended with a touch of cinnamon all topped off with a sweet frosting that might just make you want to skip lunch and go right to dessert!

Individual Notes

The cake used in this profile, is a nice thick moist sponge cake, not your usual sponge which can be a little dry, this one is dense, and has quite a richness to it. It’s almost a donut, it has a very doughy bakery feel. In fact without the name and description to tell me that this is a cake flavour, I could easily mistake it for a donut.

Cinnamon is delicately added to not only stay in the background, but to simply add a little spice, a little more complexity, without taking over the delicate cake balance.

The frosting here is placed like the cinnamon, minimally, yet at just the right consistency to make a difference to the overall blend, without overpowering. It’s a very simple sweet frosting that enhances the sponge.

Inhale & Exhale

On the inhale, the first thing you’ll notice is the cake, the doughy, almost donut bakery goodness that makes up the main flavour. As always this intensifies as you inhale, starting off quite light, and getting heavier as the inhale continues. As the inhale goes, you’ll also notice a touch of cinnamon and a little frosting sweetness begin to blend in with the profile.

As you exhale, coming from that strong sponge cake with light cinnamon and frosting, you’ll notice everything pick up on intensity. By everything I mean everything. The sponge gets extra thick and takes on a moist feel, while the frosting gets sweeter and also becomes more solid, blending with the cake more and taking on a more icing sugar feel. The cinnamon simply intensifies with the other flavours, never overpowering, forever the support for the cake, and doing a damned good job of it too.

At the end of the vape, you’re left with quite a dense, very sweet and flavoursome cake blend.

Final thoughts

This is not a bad cake at all, it has a thicker and stickier feel to it, likely due to the frosting notes, and feels like a very rich and moist spongecake.

With the frosting adding a sweeter note, and the cinnamon a little spice this cake is a mildly complex vape with a thick mouth feel, with all of the notes coming together seamlessly to complete the profile.

I do feel as though it’s a little flat, and could use a few bridging flavours added to really round out the profile, but all in all, it is what it says on the tin. A tasty cinnamon and frosting enhanced, moist sponge that will impress with it’s thickness and realistic cake flavour.
