eLiquid Review: Izabel from Regency Vapour

eLiquid Review: Izabel from Regency Vapour

Welcome back, I’ve had a look at a couple of the flavours available from Regency Vapour previously, and I’ve got another one to show you.

This one has one of my favourite fruits in it, raspberry, but is not a fruit profile. Instead it’s a Raspberry Ice-Cream, very much a dessert flavour.

If you’re unfamiliar, Regency Vapour run their own vape store in NSW as well as having representatives in the UK. They’re closely affiliated with HAKU, hence the labels “Regency Vapour by HAKU”.

Today, I’ll be reviewing “Izabel” from Regency Vapour.

(This eliquid was supplied by the vendor for review.)

Flavour Description

[From the website]
“Raspberry Ice Cream”

The Review

This flavour has been likened to those old Raspberry Splice ice creams, you know the ones with the smooth vanilla ice cream in the middle surrounded by a shell of raspberry ice confectionary. It’s an almost accurate description, except I’ve experienced a slightly different profile going on.

For me “Izabel” is a smooth and tasty vanilla ice cream, with rich raspberry jam drizzled all over, very much a rich dessert that is both full of flavour and well blended.

” A rich raspberry jam drizzled over silky smooth Vanilla Ice Cream, thick and flavoursome with a sweet tang to keep things interesting. “

Individual Notes

As I eluded to before, the Raspberry is more of a deep and richer raspberry jam than you might expect. It is sweet, but not in a confectionary way, a sweet and tangy preserve that is quite complex in itself, making for quite a good contrasting flavour to the ice cream. This raspberry does give off a little chemical note at times, it’s barely noticeable but should be mentioned.

The vanilla ice cream is just that, a Vanilla Bean Ice Cream, rich in itself with an almost caramel undertone, and silky smooth, that vapes with quite a creamy consistency. At times it’s sticky, yet refreshing enough to counter the tangy raspberry, and smooth things out for a very satisfying vape.

Inhale & Exhale

On the inhale you’ll immediately notice both the raspberry jam and the vanilla from the ice cream. Granted it’s light at this point, but as you inhale that raspberry jam/syrup strengthens. It’s a deep down complex raspberry with both realistic and sweetened sides that create quite an authentic raspberry jam or syrup.

At the top of the inhale the raspberry gets quite a tang to it at it’s peak, reminiscent of how a real raspberry syrup would be. Slowly from this point on, you begin to notice the texture thicken, from syrupy to creamy as the vape becomes denser with the ice cream kicking in.

As you exhale, that thick creamy vanilla ice cream gradually works it’s way in alongside the raspberry, building up as it goes, until it reaches a nice consistency, fluffy, and silky smooth.

The end of the vape finishes with that thick creamy vanilla and ice cream as more of a base note providing the texture, and the raspberry pushing through striking you with a tangy raspberry jam at the tip of your tongue.

Final thoughts

I’ve really enjoyed this one. Once I got past the expectations of it being like a Raspberry Split ice cream, I could appreciate the complexity of the syrupy raspberry jam and how it interweaves with the vanilla ice cream base.

The vape is creamy, and smooth with a little tang from the raspberry that really makes this flavour. Definitely something that can be vaped all day without getting tired of it.

If I were to change anything, I might lower the raspberry a little, just to avoid any chemical tones, and for a slightly smoother vape. This is just nit-picking however, as this really is a great solid flavour that I have a hard time finding fault with.

A fantastic little dessert flavour, if you love your raspberry like me and have a hankering for a dessert flavour, you’ll love this one. It’s layered, complex and a delightful flavour.

Where to Buy:

You can pick up all of the Regency Vapour range from the Regency Vapour Australia website, the Regency Vapour UK website, or from their many stockists.

Colour:

Honey Tint

Aroma:

Raspberry and Vanilla

Coil and wick damage:

Some darkening of wicks, but no real gunking.

PG/VG Ratio:

80VG/20PG

Texture:

Sweet and full textured dessert

Steeping:

A steep is recommended with this one.

Presentation:

Great regal looking presentation. I received dark tinted and clear 60ml Chubby Gorilla style bottles with childproof caps, and needle tip dispensers.

The darker labels with gold accents give things quite an elegent look, which matches with Regency’s scripted logo and general theme.

These have pretty minimal information on them, mainly, logo & brand, juice name, 18+, 0mg Nicotine, and a skull warning icon. I would have liked to have seen a lot more information on here.

Test rigs:

Original Haku Cruiser running a single 0.17 framed staple coil on a mech mod.
Augvape Intake RTA with a 0.2ohm Stainless coil running @ approx 50-80 watts.
Bonza RDA with x2 Framed Stapled coils (0.2 ohm-ish)
