e-Liquid Review: Ipswich from the Witch Hunt Vapour range

e-Liquid Review: Ipswich from the Witch Hunt Vapour range

Welcome back, I’ve got the 3rd flavour from the new Witch Hunt Vapour range to take a look at with you today. This one is a little different than the last few flavours. So far we’ve had a Mango/Apple Cider and a Tobacco Caramel Custard, you’re in for something a little different today!

If you’re unfamiliar, Witch Hunt Vapour are a new brand, just released, developed in the Adelaide Hills of South Australia. There are only 3 flavours available at this point in time, but I’m sure more will be added in the future.

Today, I’ll be reviewing “Ipswich” from Witch Hunt Vapour.

(This eliquid was supplied by the vendor for review.)

Flavour Description

[From the website]
A witches treat, now bottled for all to enjoy, the delicious Pineapple Lolly.

The Review

Everyone loves the old Pineapple lollies, yellow on the one end and green on the other, soft and squishy, sweet and ready to be knawed on by the fistful. These soft lollies are gummy candies, sweet and tart, with a thick slightly creamy consistency. But are these the Pineapple Lollies that this flavour is supposed to replicate?
I know of several other Pineapple Lollies that this could represent, and it’s likely completely up to each vapers discretion as to which it tastes like to them.

Which one is it?

“Ipswich is a smooth and sweet pineapple blend, sharp and sugary yet full of flavour and texture.”

Individual Notes

There really only is only one profile in this flavour. It’s primarily supposed to be a Pineapple candy, so of course there is the Pineapple, which is sweet, a little tart. I’ve noticed that on the finger test it comes across as a more stewed pineapple or fried pineapple ring, a little dull but warm. While vaped it brightens to a clean and fresh pineapple, with the tartness dialed back a little.

I get a real marshmallow feel from this also. The gummy seems to be made up of a slight powdered marshmallow along with some gummy concentrate, very juicy, but also a little dry in texture at the same time. I know that’s completely impossible but the dry contrasting with the juicy, kind of creates a depth of texture.

Inhale & Exhale

The inhale is definitely all pineapple, it’s bright and sweet, definitely reminiscent of a sweet pineapple, but not quite the pineapple lollies we are all familiar with. One of those pineapple jelly lollies with the sugar coating comes to mind with this one. Similar to pineapple cubes. As the inhale continues, this pineapple gets stronger in flavour and intensity, almost tipping over to a warmer more stewed pineapple, as I noticed on the finger test, but doesn’t quite get there while vaping. (thats a very good thing)

Once you hit the peak, the top of the inhale, you’ll notice a smoother, thicker texture fall over the pineapple, to me it’s very much marshmallow, but there is also something else in there giving off a bit of a juicy vibe.
It’s likely a gummy candy concentrate of some sort, contrasting with the dryer marshmallow, and creating a nice level of complexity as a result.

As the exhale continues, you’ll see the pineapple carry on through without a fuss, sweet and fresh, all the while that underlay of marshmallow washes through it almost convincingly creating a pineapple lolly feel.

Final thoughts

Despite the feel I’ve likely given off so far, I have really enjoyed this flavour. It’s a sweetened pineapple with equally sweet and thick marshmallow backnotes, and definitely one of the better pineapple flavours I’ve tried.

If you know me, you’ll also know that Pineapple is kind of my arch nemesis when it comes to vape flavours. I love to eat it, fresh, stewed, in a juice, and of course in lolly form, but when it comes to vaping it, they are either dull and lifeless, over-sweetened and come across as stewed or over ripened pineapple or they simply react on my throat and make me cough.

This one has been quite pleasant however, no coughing, no over-ripened feel, this pineapple is as fresh as you’re likely to get in a vape flavour and that’s pretty incredible.

That’s a great thing, but all good things must have a flipside, and this is mine. To me this pineapple lolly came across as a sugared jelly candy, rather than what I expected. I was expecting one of those tiny green and yellow gummy candies that I’m sure you were all expecting as well. The expected flavour does come through at times just to tease me, but it’s not there the majority of the time. As always, taste is subjective so you might get a different result than I and experience the gummy pineapple more than I have.

All in all though, a very nice flavour that I’ve enjoyed vaping, and something I’d definitely load up on again should I get the want for a pineapple flavour!

I love the labels on these. I received 60ml tinted Chubby Gorilla bottles with tamper proof and child-proof cap. There’s a nice narrow needle tip dispenser for easy filling, these bottles are great.

The labels are shiny gloss, bright and colourful with a witchy silhouette theme, and a respective colour. Front and centre in nice bold lettering is the Witch Hunt Vapour logo and Flavour name, the Flavour description is also present which is excellent. Every eliquid should have this.

All of the other information that you’d expect is here too. PG/VG ratio, warnings, ingredients, bottle size and social media icons.
