eLiquid Review 525: Brazilian Pineapple by Sydney Vape Co

Hi there folks, here we are for the second of the Sydney Vape Co flavours that I have on hand for review.

The last review saw some pretty good marks for a very well executed flavour, “Berry Peachy“, which took advantage of the use of complimentary flavours in order to boost the peach and add more dimension.

This next flavour is as complex as that, however I will say, SVC have done a great job choosing this profile, it’s a flavour pairing that simply works. I think this is going to be a top seller!

Today, I’ll be reviewing “Brazilian Pineapple” from Sydney Vape Co.
(This eliquid was supplied by the vendor for review.)

Flavour Description

[From the website]
“The perfect dessert after a Brazilian BBQ: flame-grilled pineapple coated with rich cinnamon and brown sugar. Enjoy this fresh pineapple with a tasty twist.”

The Review

Flavour is a funny thing, you can mention pineapple to someone and they’ll automatically think of a bright, sharp, almost sour fleshy fruit that will give you the squints when you sink your teeth into it. Others might think of a fried pineapple ring, syrupy and warm, with a more rounded feel and richer in texture.

This one is the latter.

“Brazilian Pineapple” is a sugary, fried pineapple, a rounded syrupy dessert followed up with a dose of cinnamon and brown sugar that leaves a sweetness on the lips.

Individual Notes

The pineapple used in this is very much the same that was used in “Berry Peachy”, a warmer, stewed or fried pineapple with a dull edge, yet quite a dynamic syrupy tartness. There is an over-ripeness to it, but the cinnamon does a great job of distracting from it.

The cinnamon works wonderfully against the pineapple, blending very nicely without going overboard and turning this into a purely cinnamon vape. It’s a lighter, sweeter version of your usual cinnamon, this has been blended by a delicate hand that’s for sure!

Brown sugar is here to add the lightest caramelised touch, sweet and adding some robustness to the rest of the profile.

I suspect there is the tiniest bit of cream in here somewhere too, as I noticed a hint of it and the thickness of this is very similar to a lightly creamed flavour.

Inhale & Exhale

On the inhale, you’ll immediately get sweet rounded pineapple. It’s an instant hit of the stewed fruit, very syrupy and sweet as opposed to a fresh and tart sourness. A little cinnamon and brown sugar sit around the edge, helping to keep this profile low and slow, without firing off on a sharp tart tirade! Of course the intensity is not at it’s strongest here, but as you keep inhaling, you’ll soon get there!

The top of the inhale sees the strength of the flavour shine through, a deep syrupy pineapple, dulled with a smooth sweet cinnamon and undertone of brown sugar.

As you exhale, you’ll notice that the cinnamon itself creates an almost pastry feel, very doughy, similar to a donut, you could almost call this a pineapple donut and get away with it, it’s that sort of cinnamon.
Things smooth out here on the exhale, the pineapple rolls off a little, allowing the brown sugar and cinnamon to strengthen, but not overtake, all the while keeping a pleasant complexity and richness right to the very end.

Final thoughts

This one is sweet, I often found myself looking at my coils to make sure they weren’t getting affected by any additional sweetener (spoiler: they didn’t).

The smooth stewed or fried pineapple is great, very much like caramelizing a pineapple ring in a frypan, the aroma, flavour, all spot on for what this is.

I did find that the cinnamon, a lighter, less aromatic, more sugary cinnamon than you usually find in eliquids, giving off a bit of a donut vibe. Whether that’s because something like a glazed donut concentrate was used or my mind simply put those pieces together, I’ll never know, but Pineapple Donut came to mind more than once!

Cons: If I were to really reach for something, the pineapple is more an over-ripe pineapple and not quite consistently smooth. Very much like the pineapple used in “Berry Peachy”. However, I was happily surprised and instantly impressed at how well this profile works. Would I change anything? No. It’s a damn good mix.

All in all, this is a fantastic flavour, not one to pass up if you’re looking at the Sydney Vape co range, you should definitely check it out.

Presentation:

As always, Sydney Vape Co, have some impressive presentation. Each bottle comes in it’s own similarly branded box. I received 30ml clear Chubby Gorilla style bottles with black child-proof caps, tamper proof ring-seal, and needle tip dispenser.

The labelling is comprehensive with juice name, respective imagery and company logo front and centre. General warnings, ingredients, bottle size, and even flavour profile are printed on the colour coded matt finish labels.

Most impressive of all is the use of “Born on” and “Batch Number” stamps. This is a great addition to any label, and builds confidence, letting the consumer know how old their bottle of juice really is.

If you haven’t seen them yet, SVC also have some fancy pants sample boxes available, so that you can try all of their flavours in smaller bottles, the whole set is only $59.99 which is some pretty great value!

Original Haku Cruiser running a single 0.17 framed staple coil on a mech mod.
Augvape Intake RTA with a 0.2ohm Stainless coil running @ approx 50-80 watts.
