eLiquid Review 524: Berry Peachy by Sydney Vape Co

So, a little while ago I reviewed the Sydney Vape Co’s range of flavours. Actually it was about a year ago, I believe. I found them pretty good, there were a few standouts, but all in all, it was a solid range of eliquids. So what do you do after you release a whole line of e-liquid to the public?

You go back and start it all again from scratch! Yes, that’s right, you go back……. wait ……. what?

You heard me right! Where once, there was an 8 flavour range, now there are 10, most of the 10 are brand new flavours, with a few re-jigged originals in the mix as well. I have absolutely no idea what drove them to redo it all again only one year on, but I’m eager to see exactly what these new blends are like!

Without further ado…

Today, I’ll be reviewing “Berry Peachy” from Sydney Vape Co.
(This eliquid was supplied by the vendor for review.)

Flavour Description

[From the website]
“A fruity blend of blueberries, strawberries and kiwifruit, along with sugary peaches and a hint of pineapple for a vape that packs a berry peachy punch!”

The Review

From the title you’d probably imagine this to be a very sweet and juicy syrupy peach flesh type of flavour, and, well, you wouldn’t be too far from the mark.

There is a little more to this one than meets the eye though, and this is why I’m a little impressed. Not content with throwing some juicy peach into a mix and being done with it, Sydney Vape Co have gone to town with complimentary flavours, bringing out the highs with pineapple, kiwi and strawberry, whilst keeping a grand bottom end of sweet peach and blueberries!

This clever concoction is rife with well thought out complimentary flavours, ensuring you experience a dynamic and deeper juicy peach than you might be expecting!

Individual Notes

Obviously the peach is going to be the main flavour here, it’s sweet, it’s syrupy and quite juicy. Consisting of a lovely rounded peach flesh note that is further enhanced by the supporting nuances of various other fruits.

There is some blueberry here, which bolsters the peach, in a very interesting way, providing a mid range berry and a slight floral. It’s difficult to catch, but rather than be an up front flavour, the beauty of it’s existence in this flavour is, how it helps round everything out.

The Kiwi Fruit and Strawberry work very well together in this blend, both quite tall notes, tart and fresh, they help to pull a sharpness into this flavour countering the peach’s natural fuzzy lower note, aiding in the overall complexity and depth of this mix.

And finally the Pineapple. Not something you’d think of using when creating a peach flavour, but, like the kiwi and strawberry, this helps build a more solid 3 dimentional profile, providing the bitter/tart and slightly gritty acidic tones that compliment the same in the peach itself.
I did notice that this pineapple has a slightly strange note in it that doesn’t quite fit with the peach. I notice it most on the inhale, a bit of an over-ripe earthiness.

Inhale & Exhale

The inhale and exhale are pretty similar with this flavour.
You’ll first notice the peach and pineapple on the inhale, both sharing some common traits, a little tart, a slight grit, with both complimenting the different juice of the other. The peach rounding out the pineapple and the pineapple, brightening the peach.

As the inhale continues, some of the other flavours begin to appear, most notably, the strawberry and kiwi on the inhale. These both shine at the top end of the inhale, where this juice is at it’s most intense, and they help balance the existing peach and pineapple, whilst at the same time pushing them to an even greater height with a little bit of sweet yet sharp tartness.

As you exhale, these sharper fruits fall back in line, and once again become part of the larger flavour profile, as the pineapple and peach edge their way to the front again, this time carrying a light blueberry bottom note with them. Not a full on blueberry as you might expect, but a light berry, with a touch of floral, matching the peaches own complex flesh notes.

This final combination flows right through until the end of the vape, smoothly blending in a dance that sees each flavour’s complexities play out in a well choreographed way.

Final thoughts

Let’s get down to it. This is a fantastic peach flavour. Nothing has been spared in trying to get the most out of this one, and it shows with well thought out complimentary flavours, painstakingly trialled, tested and blended to create this delicate profile.

I did notice that the pineapple carries with it a bit of an over-ripe feel, which I think is great, and works really well, but there is a little bit of an earthiness that comes from it that just doesn’t quite fit. This is my only con, and I’m really picking on it here.

All in all, a very well put together flavour, and one of the best peaches that I’ve tried.

Well done guys!

As always, Sydney Vape Co, have some impressive presentation. Each bottle comes in it’s own similarly branded box. I received 30ml clear Chubby Gorilla style bottles with black child-proof caps, tamper proof ring-seal, and needle tip dispenser.

The labelling is comprehensive with juice name, respective imagery and company logo front and centre. General warnings, ingredients, bottle size, and even flavour profile are printed on the colour coded matt finish labels.

Most impressive of all is the use of “Born on” and “Batch Number” stamps. This is a great addition to any label, and builds confidence, letting the consumer know how old their bottle of juice really is.

If you haven’t seen them yet, SVC also have some fancy pants sample boxes available, so that you can try all of their flavours in smaller bottles, the whole set is only $59.99 which is some pretty great value!
