eLiquid Review 451: Blueberry Waffle & Whip Cream by Butler’s Choice Eliquids

eLiquid Review 451: Blueberry Waffle & Whip Cream by Butler’s Choice Eliquids

The complexity and well blended nature of the first flavour that I reviewed from Butler’s Choice Eliquids was a pretty good indication that the rest of their range would be equally impressive, which I would be very happy with. It was rich and full of flavour yet each note complimented the next.

Let’s see if today’s can get those taste buds going, to deliver another fantastic dessert vape!

Today, I’ll be reviewing “Blueberry Waffle & Whip Cream” by Butler’s Choice Eliquids.
(This eliquid was supplied by the vendor for review.)

Flavour Description

A delicious Belgian Waffle that’s been topped with Blueberries, Maple Syrup, Whipped Cream and Golden butter…. Enough said!

The Review

When you first vape this, you’re instantly taken to a familiar place, you’ve been here before, you know the smells, you know that flavour on your tongue. The combination rings a bell. If the maple syrup isn’t enough to get that memory working, the waffles will!

Blueberry Waffle & Whip Cream, is just that. Exactly that in fact. A delicious base of buttery Waffles and whipped cream, on top some juicy blueberries to provide some rounded fruit, and ultra sweet maple syrup drizzled over the top, creating a decadent breakfast or dessert for the “sweet tooth’s” out there!

Individual Notes

The Blueberries here, while you might not expect, are not the main flavour, but they finish off this profile very nicely with a slight floral and a real down to earth, rounded out berry feel.

The waffle has a slight dry element to it, very pastry, slightly bready, sweet yet savoury all at the same time. A great base for the following flavours.

Maple Syrup is probably the most immediately noticeable flavour here. It’s very dominant, strong, sweet, with a light smokiness, an almost burnt note. There’s a real syrup stickiness to it that comes across very well in vape form. To me perhaps a little too burnt for my liking, I would have like to have seen this a little smoother.

The Butter and Whipped Cream work together to create a light and airy, yet thick and rich blend to compliment the maple and waffle, adding a slight saltiness, whilst still being sweet at the same time.

Inhale & Exhale

Straight away on the inhale, you’re hit with that familiar waffle and maple syrup combination. A Pastry/bakery feel with a super sweet maple syrup that is slightly smokey but sweet and sticky just like a maple syrup should be. The waffle imparts an almost bready pastry feel, a little dry, which is more than made up for in moisture by the syrup.

The flavour is very intense on the inhale, and can be quite difficult to pick out the waffle, but it is in there. The maple syrup tends to override everything else, with a slight burnt or smokey note.

The exhale begins with the waffle, butter and maple syrup from the inhale, most dominant, until the underlying blueberry begins to take shape.
As the blueberry comes into play, along with it is the butter and whipped cream. They are also a little noticeable on the inhale, but more-so here where it has the rounded blueberry to compliment it. The blueberry adds a slight floral, where the butter and whipped cream work together to create a very nice buttery creamy texture, topping off the already sweet and smokey maple syrup and waffle pastry for a thick and rich finish.

Final thoughts

This is a great mix, thick and creamy, sweet and complex, with pastry, syrup, butter and cream all rolled into the one breakfast/dessert treat.

I do find at times that it can become a little muddled and difficult to pick out the various flavours, due to the maple syrup having a slight burnt nuance to it. This is probably my only complaint which I could see improved fairly easily.

All in all, another great flavour from Butler’s Choice, and one that dessert lovers will want to try. Well done guys!

Where to Buy:

You can purchase this flavour as well as many of their others directly from the Butler’s Choice Eliquid website.

Colour:

Light honey tint

Aroma:

Waffles and Maple syrup

Coil and wick damage:

There is a bit of darkening of the wicks from this one, and a slight degradation of coils so you might be dry burning or changing coils more often with this one. Definitely not a show stopper, and you won’t be changing coils or wicks every day either.

PG/VG Ratio:

70%VG / 30%PG

Texture:

Thick, sweet baked goods with syrup

Steeping:

A steep is definitely a good idea with this one!

Presentation:

Butler’s Choice eliquids are presented really well. I received dark tinted 60ml bottles, not original Gorilla bottles, but very close, and are very good quality. The caps were relatively easy to remove for adding nicotine, and they have screw down child-proof caps and needle tip nozzles.

The labels are professionally designed, dark with a nice background, and the butlers choice badge front and centre, along with the colour coded eliquid flavour name. A nice touch I thought were the randomly placed tiny icons depicting each flavour in the background of the label.

All of the information you might need is right there on the label. Bottle size, PG/VG percentage, Ingredients as well as a 0mg ‘zero’ nicotine statement.

Test rigs:

Haku with slam cap running a single 0.17 framed staple coil on a mech mod.
OBS Engine RTA with a 0.2ohm Stainless coil running @ approx 50-80 watts.
