eLiquid Review 446: Berry Glaze Cheesecake by Drip FX

I’ve got a fresh juice line to introduce to you good folk today. DripFX have been around for a while now, hailing from Western Australia, they launched with 4 flavours to choose from, and if I can say so, are some pretty tasty profiles.

Unfortunately it’s taken me a heck of a long time to get around to reviewing them, due to my massive review queue, but they’ve been patiently waiting, and finally made it to the front! Let’s see what they’ve got on offer!

Today, I’ll be reviewing “Berry Glaze Cheesecake” by Drip FX.
(This eliquid was supplied by the vendor for review.)

Flavour Description

A freshly baked cheesecake with a sweet mixed berry glaze drizzled on top. This juice will make you feel like you’ve just left your favourite bakery!

The Review:

Today’s flavour is a dessert no doubt, this thick textured cheesecake is sweet and rich, tasty all the way through the vape!

From the first whiff when you open the bottle, through to a quick taste test and eventually having a vape, this flavour just oozes thick and creamy, sweet and saucy, straight away. There’s no question here, you’re getting exactly as you expect.

“Berry Glaze Cheesecake” is first and foremost a rich cheesecake biscuit base, not quite sweet not quite savoury, with a buttery, creamy centre, and a sweet syrupy mixed berry sauce drizzled over the top, a full on dessert with full on flavour.

Individual Notes

The cheesecake is your typical cheesecake with graham cracker crust, as I mentioned early, not exactly sweet, yet not savoury either. It has a slight bready feel to it, in between a bread and a pastry. This one, also benefits from a creamy and buttery filling, with a real vanilla feel, bringing that richness to the fore.

As it’s described, there are mixed berries here, which one’s I won’t pretend to know, but I feel as though I pick up on some raspberry due to the lower tone of the fruit and something complimentary to it, perhaps boysenberry, that lies in the raspberry’s shadow yet provides an extra layer of complexity to the sauce. The addition of the mixed berries brings a syrupy feel and really thickens this flavour up on the palate, like you’re really eating a sticky cheesecake!

Inhale & Exhale

On the inhale, you’ll note all flavours, with the mixed berries being more prominent, and the cheesecake centre also coming through, but not quite at it’s maximum intensity. It’s a sharper flavor on the inhale, with the berries offering a little tartness, and the cheesecake centre then smoothing them out as the inhale hits it’s peak.

At the end of the inhale leading on the exhale, those cheesecake tones begin to pick up even more, with their buttery, creaminess, creating quite a sticky feel in the mouth. Combined and intensifying along side the sweeter berries, the cheesecake matures, and has quite the richness to it, almost a pudding, almost a warm sauce, until about midway through the exhale when you begin to notice the slightly bready, cheesecake base appearing through the midst of an already incredible flavour.

The cheesecake base is bready, very much graham cracker, with an extra pastry kick, sticking to your mouth like a shortbread, and bringing out an extra dimension to the entire profile.

This juice leaves a wonderful coating in your mouth, and aftertaste that you’ll continue to enjoy even when you’ve finished vaping it!

Final thoughts

This is an excellent cheesecake flavour, thick and rich, creamy, yet containing that sticky shortbread base, that fills your mouth, for a very rounded and full vape.

The only thing I’d like to see with this one, is a little more sharpness, or tartness from the berries, the cheesecake is brilliant, but the berries are a little overshadowed by it. Easy for me to say though, and this is a fantastic flavour already!

Perfect for sweet tooth’s, or just those that love their desserts, you won’t regret filling up with this one, it’s a very tasty flavour, and a brilliant introduction to their range.

Nice work guys! I’m already impressed!

Great presentation here, I received a 60ml grey tinted 60ml bottle similar to a Chubby Gorilla bottle, with needle tip and child proof screw cap. The label is great with their dark background, and honeycomb pattern.

The labels look fab, with the company name front and centre, and the name of the juice below it in stand out colours. You’ll also get all of the information you might need from them too, including warnings, ingredients, bottle size, PG/VG ratio, and more!
