e-Juice Review: Watermelon Fresh from Priority Blend’s “Chilled” Range
Hey hey it’s friday! So let’s send you off to the weekend with another review! As you know I’ve been reviewing Priority Blend’s “Chilled” range this week. We’re onto the third today, after a couple of tasty flavours early in the week. 3 more to go after this!
If you’re not familiar, Priority Blends have been around a while, since 2016 in fact and hit the ground running with their original range, a range so diverse, there literally is something for everyone! Priority Blend’s new ‘chilled’ range, takes some of those old favourites, and tickles them up a bit, and optimises them to run as ice cold treats!
Today I’ll be reviewing “Watermelon Fresh” from Priority Blend’s “Chilled” range of e-liquids.
(This eliquid was supplied by Priority Blends for review. )
Flavour Description
[From the website]
Watermelon Fresh. Watermelon and frozen mixed berries, busting with flavour and sweetness.
The Review
Watermelon is an unusual flavour, specially with vape juices. The options available are fairly limited as far as concentrates go, and most are varying degrees of your typical watermelon candy.
You’ll sometimes get something that is more like a watermelon hard candy, others are more like a watermelon jelly candy.
Individual Notes
There really isn’t a lot to this flavour, it’s main profile is of course watermelon. It’s a candy watermelon, actually, a little lighter than a candy watermelon, perhaps more akin to a watermelon cocktail or beverage.
While it’s bright, there is a fullness to the watermelon, all the while, the watery nature of it is further enhanced with the icy cold chill from the cooling agents.
Inhale & Exhale
The inhale is super light, sometimes I find that I’m really only getting that cold chill from the cooling agent, other times, that familiar watermelon candy breaks through it. Still light but there nonetheless.
As the inhale continues more of those candy/beverage watermelon notes appear, creating more texture against that ice cold chill.
The top of the inhale is where things are coldest, the chill is a lot like a deep breath on an icy cold morning, fresh, and breezy, with the addition of a sweet watermelon undertone of course!
On the exhale, things start to warm up a bit with the watermelon really strengthening here. The chill falls back a little as those lighter candy watermelon notes strengthen, still textured but now seemingly juicy, and with the light cooling, more like a realistic watermelon than before.
The rest of the exhale sees that watermelon intensify while the chill seems to hold steady, providing a little chill right up until the end of the vape.
Final thoughts
While this is far from a realistic watermelon there are times where the juiciness and the cooling really do a lot to get close to the profile. I really can’t fault the flavour here, it’s sweet, candy watermelon without any nasty notes, it’s quite pleasant really, and something that watermelon lovers will get a kick out of.
I would have liked to have seen a little more realism in this one though, maybe a rindy note or something other than the candy to really push it over the edge.
All in all, I’ve enjoyed this one very much. It’s an easy to vape flavour that doesn’t wear on you with a heap of cooling to back it up!
Great work!

Clear

Candy watermelon
Coil and wick damage:
I’ve noticed a small amount of coil gunking, so there must be a little sweetener in here, but nothing over the top.
PG/VG Ratio:
70VG/30PG

Juicy watermelon
Steeping:
No need to steep this one.
Presentation:
The Priority Blends “Chilled” range has some pretty cool presentation. I received 60ml tinted Chubby Gorilla bottles with child-proof and tamper-proof caps and needle tip dispenser. What’s a little unusual, however is how much juice is in the bottle. Priority fill their 60ml bottles with 50ml of eliquid! This, I’m assuming is to give some room in the top of the bottle for users to add their nicotine. Very clever!
The labels are pretty simple, black gloss labels with colour cartoony graphics, the brand and flavour front and centre, along with the PB logo and “CHILLED” in big bold lettering. Other information that can be found on the labels are: Eliquid size=50ml, warnings, ingredients, VG/PG ratio, 0mg nicotine declaration, barcode and Priority Blends social media and website information.
Test rigs:
Original Haku Cruiser running a single 0.17 framed staple coil on a mech mod/variable wattage mod.
Augvape Intake RTA with a 0.2ohm Stainless coil running @ approx 50-80 watts.
