eJuice Review 381: Vanilla Baccy by The Barton Vape Co

eJuice Review 381: Vanilla Baccy by The Barton Vape Co

I think I’m beginning to get a whole new appreciation for tobacco flavours. There was once a time, where I wouldn’t touch anything with the word tobacco in it. I guess that could be put down to some of the horrible juices that I’d received a few years back when first starting out.

They were tobacco sure, but just didn’t cut it. Nowadays, with vaping becoming more popular, eliquid vendors are going out of their way to create awesome new flavours, and revamping some old classics.

Tobacco vapes are one of those profiles that tend to get a little neglected or left out of most vendor’s offerings, but thankfully The Barton Vape Co recognise that there are still a tonne of Tobacco vapers out there, and have recreated some old favourites!

Today, I’ll be reviewing “Vanilla Baccy”.

(This eliquid was supplied by the vendor.)

Flavour Description

The perfect blend of vanilla bean and rich cured tobacco, the perfect pair

The Review:

So far I’ve reviewed The Barton Vape Co’s basic tobaccos, Barton Gold, Bourbon Baccy, and Rollie, they’ve all been great, but there’s more, and today I’m getting stuck into some Vanilla goodness!

I wouldn’t expect Vanilla to go well with tobacco, but let me tell you now, it really really does, and it’s excellent.

“Vanilla Baccy” blends the richer, warmer tobacco notes, with a smooth thick textured vanilla, to provide a very satisfying vape, even tobacco haters will love!

Individual Notes

The tobacco notes in this flavour are your typical virginia tobacco style, with slight grassy nuances and taller notes with a rich smokey feel. The tobacco acts as a bit of a precursor to the vanilla, but also adding a little bit of a taller note, that balances things out quite nicely.

The vanilla is a smooth, creamy vanilla, bringing some texture to this profile, in the form of a base layer. A fantastic supporting flavour to the tobacco, the silky smooth vanilla, really adds another level of decadence.

Inhale & Exhale

On the inhale, I notice the tobacco and vanilla straight away. As with most virginia tobaccos, it has the typical grassy notes to it, but this time a lot less noticeable, with it are also the typical slightly harsh, richer tall notes that make up the rest of the tobacco flavour. Not over the top, just at that right level to let you know that this is a tobacco profile.
A hint of vanilla sweetness appears over the top of the tobacco here, but it’s only a light at this stage, and definitely a backnote to the tobacco.

At the turn of the inhale and onto the exhale, the tobacco begins to fall into the background as the silky smooth vanilla intensifies, bringing the background forward and adding a little bit of a dessert feel to the vape.

Dominating the exhale the vanilla continues with it’s nice thick silky mouth feel, and dessert tone, as it then slowly fades off somewhat to allow a little of the tobacco to come through again, leaving the end of the vape as a slightly rich light tobacco, with silky smooth vanilla undertones.

Final thoughts

I’ve loved this one, it has a very consistent profile, with minimal change over time, from that initial flavour impact of that first inhale, to the flavour that I am getting now. The vanilla is a lovely addition that blends with the Virginia tobacco perfectly, smoothing out the vape and adding some extra depth.

Even non tobacco vapers will love this one, great work guys!

Presentation:

I’m really liking the clean professional presentation of The Barton range. It’s straight to the point, clear and concise, and visually appealing. I have right here, 30ml black tinted LDPE bottles with child-proof cap and needle tip dispenser. The labels are professionally printed, with a different pattern for each flavour, the Barton Vape Co logo front and centre, as well as the juice name, and the words “Ready to Vape”.

As for information on the labels, they have the usual stuff, but a little more interesting, this is the first time I’ve come across an Aussie vendor going to the trouble of mentioning nuts, soy and dairy. Specifically, “May contain traces of tree nuts, soy and dairy”.
If indeed many eliquids “could” contain any of these things, this should be on every bottle from every vendor. Great work on that guys.

Test rigs:

Haku with slam cap running a single 0.17 framed staple coil on a mech mod.
OBS Engine RTA with a 0.2ohm Stainless coil running @ approx 50-80 watts.
