eJuice Review 349: Pineapple Pie by Sydney Vape Co

Another juice review today from the Sydney Vape Co range, this one will be interesting as I don’t remember every seeing Pineapple and Bakery put together in an eliquid before. (I may have, but my memory sucks).

Today I’ll be reviewing “Pineapple Pie” from Sydney Vape Co
(This eliquid was supplied by the vendor.)

Flavour Description:

Take a walk on the wild side and enjoy this freshly baked pie with pineapple lumps and thick cream. Don’t worry – it’s nothing like what pineapple did to pizza.

The Review:

Pineapple ughhhhhhh, but cream and bakery notes, Yes!!! That’s right I’m not too pleased about the pineapple, its one of my least favourite flavours, so it’s no surprise that I’m a little wary of this one. Lucky for me, that Sydney Vape Co have my back though, and the master mixers have not only added cream and bakery notes, but made sure that the pineapple works perfectly with them.

“Pineapple Pie” is an unassuming blend of light bakery notes, a smashing of sweet cream, and a warm pineapple, that isnt too sharp, but bites through the centre of the dessert, in a layered and measured way.

Individual Notes

The pineapple is the most important here, as it’s the only fruit, but not just that, because it plays an important role as the medium and higher notes of the juice. It’s a stewed pineapple, warm with the edges rounded out, so that it’s not too sharp or acidic. The sweetness of it shines through quite nicely.

The cream is a bit of a cross between a whipped cream and a sweet cream. It’s light and fluffy, yet sweet and fills your mouth with a nice thick texture.

The bakery here is quite light, definitely more thin but dense pie pastry than any other type, and provides a supporting background note for this flavour.

Inhale & Exhale

The inhale is mostly cream and pie notes, its a little cheesecake-like with that thick pie crust note coming through.

On the exhale, the creams and bakery pick up a little, mostly the cream, thickening up the texture and creating a real full mouth feel. Through this, the pineapple appears in the middle adding a little bit of fruity sweetness, quite warm with a little tang, without overthrowing the cream at all. A lot of thought has obviously been put into this one, specially with containing the pineapple, but also the thicker nature of the creams and how everything layers together.

The end of the exhale is a sweet full textured cream, with a very light pie/bakery note, that is just tinted with some warm pineapple on the lower notes. Lovely.

Final thoughts

This is quite a nice pie, the pineapple is totally not what I expected and the layering is done really well. I like that the bakery and cream take on a primary role, with the pineapple appearing at important times during the vape. It creates a deeper flavour and adds some complexity to the whole thing, whilst still allowing me to taste the individual notes.

Great work on this one guys.

Sydney Vape Co have floored me with their presentation. So far they are the only Aussie company that I know of that supply their bottles of eliquid in separate boxes.

Haku with slam cap running a single 0.17 ET coil from “Bombers Coils” on a mech mod.
