e-Juice Review: Orchard – Green Apples by Belmont Vape

e-Juice Review: Orchard – Green Apples by Belmont Vape

It’s middle of the week already and I’m vaping on my 3rd flavour from the Belmont Vapes “Originals” range.

There are 5 flavours in this range, of which I’ve reviewed 2 already. “Bliss – Apples and Grapes“, was an interesting fruity combination, my last review of “Vineyard – Classic Grape” gave a bit of insight into one of the two flavours in it. This next review takes care of the “Apples” in “Bliss – Apples and Grapes”, as it’s own stand alone flavour.

Today I’ll be reviewing “Orchard – Green Apples” from Belmont Vape.

(This eliquid was supplied by Belmont Vape for review. )

Flavour Description

[From the website]
Orchard: Sour & sweet taste of freshly picked granny smith apples that is deliciously fruity

The Review

Sweet and sour is what the description, and sweet and sour is exactly what you’re going to get! Well, perhaps not a really sour note, more along the lines of a sharp tartness, bright and acidic, as you’d expect from a Green Apple!

Granny Smith Apples through and through, you’ll instantly recognise that sharp, acidic Green Apple tartness when you get stuck into this one!

Individual Notes

You’ll only get the one flavour from this one, Green Apples. Simply put, this is a plain, straight down the line, one flavour banger, that not only does it’s job, but does it well.

Expect, sharp, tart, juicy Green Apple flesh, that might just make you squint, and definitely will give you that full on Granny Smith experience, just without the crunch!

Inhale & Exhale

The inhale hits hard with a wall of sharp, tart juicy green apple. It’s as though the creators wanted to smash your taste buds straight out of the gate! In all seriousness, that is exactly how this flavour hits, and that’s great because that is exactly what you’d get when you eat the real thing!

It’s as though progressing through the inhale doesn’t actually ampify or intensify the flavour, because it’s already intense! Instead you get a nice steady flow of tart/sour yet really sweet green apple, very juicy and packed full of character.

As I exhale, the intensity seems to fall a little, which could also be my taste-buds giving me a little relief, and I notice some softer textures coming through, slightly dryer, not quite as juicy, warmer and a little fibrous. I can really feel this flavour now, not just taste it, and this is what makes it more genuine. Realistic vape flavours often, also impart a texture, or at least fake it while you’re vaping them, and this does a wonderful job of getting the green apple flesh texture to your palate.

I’d have expected that this might wane a little through the exhale, but instead, the intensity keeps a constant, leaving me with a lovely textured, but still juicy and tart green apple flavour across the tongue.

Final thoughts

This is a pretty good Green Apple! It’s punchy, sharp, tangy, and above all, tastes just like a green apple. There is nothing more important than that.

Being that this is a straight up single profile e-liquid, Belmont Vape have hit the nail on the head. Every aspect of it is spot on.

Can I pick on anything? Course, I could. But I’d really be stretching to say that this flavour isn’t all it can be already.

As for my personal opinion, I think that while this is punchy, it’s a little too much for me. A slight drop in flavour isn’t going to destroy the profile, and will allow us super tasters to appreciate it a little more, rather than it simply being a lip puckering wall of green apple.

Apples are generally cold, so I think the tiniest percentage of some cooling wouldn’t go astray here too. Not a lot, just enough to help along that fresh cold apple feeling, as vaping tends to warm things up.

Fantastic work guys!

Presentation:

Excellent presentation here. Belmont have done a great job with their labels, portraying what they were going for perfectly. Think old school cordial, or fruit and veg shop logo and lettering.

I received 60ml chubby gorilla bottles, with child-proof and tamper proof lids, and a needle tip dispenser.

The labels are of a lovely design, with different coloured backgrounds for the differing flavours, and fancy old school graphics.

Front and center is the logo, juice name and flavour profile, and on the back you’ve got all the info you’ll ever need, ingredients, warnings, PG/VG ratio, bar code, and there’s even a bit of information on the back describing the juice range.

Test rigs:

Original Haku Cruiser running a single 0.17 framed staple coil on a mech mod/variable wattage mod.
Augvape Intake RTA with a 0.2ohm Stainless coil running @ approx 50-80 watts.
