eJuice Review 373: Deckard by Outrun Vape
Outrun Vape. Their branding is so cool. I dig it, I really do, and it is exactly the reason why I chased them down to get some juice for review. There is just something about their theme, it’s retro yet futuristic, has 80’s film and video game references, and has some real neon coolness to it.
Over the next week or so, I’ll be reviewing their initial 5 sweet flavours in their lineup, so kick back and let’s take a nostalgic ride!
Today, I’ll be reviewing “Deckard” by Outrun Vape.

Flavour Description
A rich, creamy baked cheesecake topped with sweet strawberries. As nuanced and indulgent as the film that introduced the Blade Runner this is named for.
The Review:
You all remember “Blade Runner” right? Probably not, although many of you will. “Rick Deckard” of whom this juice is named after, was played by Harrison Ford in the 1982 original of the film. It was a full on cult classic blurring the lines between future fact and prediction, preying on the fears of the future many had back in the 80’s. The rise of the robots, the decline of mankind, and a man caught in the thick of it all. Who better than Harrison Ford, seriously…
I really love how Outrun Vape have linked some 80’s nostalgia in with their flavour names, it’s present but it’s not over the top, more suggestive than anything, if they’d gone for movie styled labels, I think it may have been overkill.
Anyway, today’s flavour is a Strawberry Cheesecake.
I’ve done a few of these before, Cheesecake, check, Cream, check, Biscuit base, check and check, Strawberry, check.
But this is no normal Strawberry Cheesecake, there is something a little different about it, and it’s great.
“Deckard” is the smoothest Cheesecake I’ve come across, perfectly blended individual notes, make up this thick creamy flavour. The strawberry is lightly and delicately mixed into this juice, in order to give you just a hint of it, as the cheesecake and cream notes create a really smooth whipped dessert to carry it through.
Individual Notes
Of course this contains all of the classic cheesecake ingredients, a little bit of biscuit base, a little bit of that tartness, and a whole lot of creaminess.
The biscuit and tartness as well as the strawberry are really light and I like it. This mix has focused on the cream first and foremost with the other accents delicately added to just pop their heads up above it.
The strawberry is a fresh strawberry with classic sharpness, less than usual but strawberry all the same.
The biscuit base is difficult to pick as it too is really light, but it has a classic doughy but cracker feel to it.
And finally the cream is whipped, thick and airy, sweet and smooth. A really silky cream that is just delightful.
Inhale & Exhale
The inhale is mainly the strawberry and cream. It begins with a touch of cream, with the strawberry slowly appearing and intensifying somewhat as I note a light tartness appear from the cream.
At the turn of the inhale and onto the exhale, the strawberry intensifies a little more, this time along with the introduction of the biscuit base providing a little contrast and texture.
Finally, the cream rises to the top, again becoming the driving force behind this flavour, flushing through with it’s sweet creaminess, and thick silky texture.
It completes the vape with it’s whipped feel, light yet still getting the full texture of the complete dessert somehow.
Final thoughts
Just lovely, this juice is the combination of skill, and the want to try something a little different. Whilst many vendors would smash the strawberry through their concoction, Outrun, have carefully measured it against the cheesecake and cream, in order to produce a much smoother, more evened out flavour.
The strawberry is far from dominant, and that is good. It lightly appears against the cream and cheesecake as though supporting them instead of dominating, and in turn gives this juice a much thicker, smoother, and creamier feel.
Every flavour comes together to form a tasty, sweet, and thick dessert that you’ll easily vape all day without getting tired of it.

Presentation:
I love Outrun Vape’s branding. I don’t often approach vendors and offer to do reviews, but I just couldn’t help myself with Outrun. Their branding has a really cool retro/futuristic style with neons and pre millennium film references.
I received black plastic unicorn bottles with child-proof caps, needle tip dispenser, with really cool retro labels. The labels have all of the information you’ll need on them including: PG/VG ratio, juice name, logo, warnings, even an 18+ R Rating!
Test rigs:
Haku with slam cap running a single 0.17 framed staple coil on a mech mod.
OBS Engine RTA with a 0.2ohm Stainless coil running @ approx 50-80 watts.
