e-Juice Review: Berry and Grape Sherbet from Mr Wicky

e-Juice Review: Berry and Grape Sherbet from Mr Wicky

Mr Wicky. We’ve all seen this range around, you can’t miss them with their brightly coloured sunburst labels, and tasty flavour profiles. They stand out at vape shops and have a pretty big following.

Born in Melbourne, Mr Wicky grew pretty quickly from being a local range, to getting stocked in a tonne of vape stores across Australia. Since their launch they’ve progressed from zero nicotine offerings, to becoming available with nicotine from NZ vendors, as well as most recently, being available with Nicotine Salts from those same New Zealand retailers.

A fantastic move, in my eyes. What better way to make sure everyone, even new vapers can try your liquids? Make them easily available and purchasable with nicotine already included!

Anyway, enough of my rambling, on with the review!

Today I’ll be reviewing “Berry and Grape Sherbet” from Mr Wicky.

(This eliquid was supplied by the vendor for review.)

Flavour Description

[From the website]
Take a trip back in time with this grape and berries sherbet.

The Review

Grape is one of those flavours that gets a lot of attention, it’s sweet, has a full volumous flavour, and everyone loves it. It’s great to mix with and the possibilities are endless.

This grape is blended with berries, in particular, raspberries (well thats what i get from it anyway), with a unique sweetness to it that just screams ‘Sherbet’!

A delicious blend of tart grape, sweet raspberry, and a Sherbet that will leave your mouth watering!

Individual Notes

The grape here is sweet, yet sharp. It’s not quite a candy, but also not quite a smooth fleshy real grape either, more a blend between several grape profiles. Sometimes you get a grape that is more candy, or bubblegum, or realistic, or even sour, but this seems to be a bit of a blend of all of those, meeting in the middle.

The raspberry is quite sweet as you would expect, it’s juicy, and a little candy like, and blends really well with the grape, where you might not even notice it so much.
The sweeter sherbet notes of the raspberry do stand out however and really do add to the Sherbet profile.

Sherbet. As I mentioned before, the raspberry included, goes a little way into achieving this thicker and sweeter note, but I do think there is also something else in here helping to push it over the edge. A little orange, or citrus seems to come through at times.

Inhale & Exhale

The inhale is a little bit muddled at the start, it’s quite smooth with some of the duller grape and floral raspberry notes coming through at this point. The further into the inhale I get however, sees the flavours getting not only stronger but a little more defined.

The grape gets clearer, with a familiar almost bubblegum candy feel, also with a slight sharpness right up by the top of the inhale, which contrasts nicely against the sweeter, smoother raspberry and sherbet notes starting to appear.

As I exhale, the grape smoothes out again, whilst retaining it’s background candy profile, the sherbet is also a lot more pronounced, thickening up a little, while now the raspberry begins to show a little spirit and a lovely juicy raspberry appears through the grape and sweeter sherbet.

As I near the end of the vape, both the grape and raspberry begin to blend back into each other, smoothing out even further, as the sherbet reaches it’s full sweetness, leaving me with quite a sugary sweet aftertaste.

Final thoughts

This is really good. It’s a nice smooth blend of each of the primary flavours, and the blending works really well. You get hints of both the grape and raspberry at different points, which adds some dimension and that nice thick sherbet on the exhale.

I can’t shake the feeling that this flavour could have been a little more pronounced for lack of a better word, perhaps have a little more impact?
I really wanted to get that full juicy grape and berry hit, but it came across as rather blended instead of having the separation that I was looking for.

In a tank, I did get more of that condensed flavour, so perhaps that might be the best delivery device for this one, rather than my usual RDA’s, and advise you try it in one if you’re finding it like I have mentioned.

All in all, this is a tasty mix, sweet and juicy, with a nice depth of flavour, and a lovely sweetness. Would I grab another bottle? Absolutely yes!

Good work Mr Wicky!
