eJuice Review 440: Arctic Apple by The Mixtress

eJuice Review 440: Arctic Apple by The Mixtress

Today, I’ll be reviewing “Arctic Apple” from The Mixtress
(This eliquid was supplied by the vendor for review.)

Flavour Description

A refreshing cool Fuji apple on inhale followed with subtle tones of peach and strawberry finish.

The Review:

I love these profiles. Fruity juices with a touch of menthol or cooling in them, that are light and sweet, great all day vape material, and you know what you’re going to get. You can just fill up and go, because it’s just a great flavour that you know you’ll love.

To me “Arctic Apple” is a predominately sweet/sour green apple with warmer tones of tart strawberry and sweet peach delicately filtered in, all cooled down with a touch of menthol.

Individual Notes

The apple is absolutely the dominant flavour here. It’s sweet, a little sour or acidic, just like a green apple should be, and carries itself throughout the vape as the main note. At no point do you not taste this apple.

There is also a couple of extra fruits in here if you haven’t read the description. There is a light mix of peach and strawberry. The strawberry provides a little tartness, it’s sharp and fresh, while the peach gives us a lower note, a down to earth basenote that thickens the texture, and really rounds the entire eliquid out, even taming the apple somewhat.

There is menthol in here too. If you’re a menthol vaper you may not even notice it immediately, since it is only a smidge, the tiniest bit of menthol coming through mostly on the inhale, cools things down a little without turning it into a chilled flavour.

Inhale & Exhale

On the inhale, of course you will notice the apple front and centre. It’s dominant with it’s acidic yet sweet and sour tones, crisp but rounded, and the first vape will have you decided that this really is an apple flavour through and through. As you inhale further, you’ll notice a little bit of menthol, which intensifies through to top of the inhale, it’s not overbearing, and definitely not intrusive. Instead it’s a light misting, that just puts a slight cooling feeling across your tongue as you pull this flavour back.

As you begin your exhale, the menthol seems to fall away a little making way for a little warmth that arrives with the tart strawberry and juicy peach mix. These two fruits work really well together forming taller and basenotes asynchronously, creating a very well rounded middle to lower profile. As the strawberry and peach join the apple, theres a fast shift in the flavour, almost as though you’re biting into an apple candy only to discover that the centre is a lovely mix of warm strawberry and peach. This brief visit from the warmer fruits doesn’t last long though, as the apple comes back with a little bite, and you’re left with a smooth green apple and a light menthol finish.

Final thoughts

As I mentioned earlier, you can just tell that this one is going to be a great, robust, profile that you can vape all day long, and that’s exactly what it is.

I really like that The Mixtress has added those subtle strawberry and peach notes, they add an extra level of complexity and fullness when vaping.

If there were anything for me to pick on, I could really only mention that I’d like the strawberry and peach to be just that smallest amount stronger. I’m talking minute amounts. When I’m vaping this I notice them both in the smallest way, and they provide a really great mid range, but a little stronger might give me more of that, “biting into a candy to find extra flavours” sensation.

Other than that small thought, this is a really great flavour, fantastic for the warmer summer months that you can simply fill up on and vape on without a care in the world.

Great mix guys!
