eJuice Review 418: Reload – Blueberry Slush by Anthill Vapour

Having done a couple of overseas juice ranges over the last few weeks, I’m coming back home to some true blue Aussie flavours again this week.

Today’s juice is from a range made by one of our favourite Australian brands.
These guys have been around since what feels like the beginning of the vape movement over here in South Australia.
You’ll have heard of them before, and if you haven’t, you should look them up, they do some great flavours.

Their original range was a smash hit with something everybody could fall in love with, how will this one go?

Today, I’ll be reviewing “Blueberry Slush” from Anthill Vapour’s new juice range “Reload”.

Flavour Description

Chill out with this frozen blue raspberry icy slush. Sweet and refreshing, the only thing you won’t get is a brain freeze.

The Review:

This was always going to be interesting! A typically American sweet getting recreated by an Aussie eliquid company!

Anthill have done a great job on it, bringing not only the sweet yet tart berry together with a touch of citrus and a hint of chill that goes right to the back of the throat!

Individual Notes:

Blue raspberry isn’t your usual raspberry, it’s a raspberry variant and over the years has evolved as more of a candy Berry flavour. Think raspberry, blackberry and various other berries all rolled into one. This juice is no different, you’ll get no realistic raspberry here, rather, a mix of sweet and sour with candy Berry undertones.

I notice a bit of citrus here too. It’s not distinguishable as any particular fruit however and has a citric acid feel to it. It’s not over done, and definitely not chemical like, blended with a light touch it accents the blue raspberry well

All of you menthol fans will be happy to know that there is some cooling agent in this flavour too. Not a massively cold hit like Malaysian juices, just enough to let you know that this is a Slushie based flavour.

Inhale & Exhale:

The inhale starts off quite light as you might expect, with evenly sweet berries getting pulled to the back of your mouth. Just as you start to wonder exactly which berries are involved in this, you’ll catch a hint of citrus and a tartness across the top of your tongue, which is followed by a wash of cooling agent.
The cooling agent hits it’s peak here as you pull in more air feeling that breeze at the back of your throat.

As you exhale, a little warmth comes back into the vape joined again by that tangy, tart, but sweet Berry mix. The texture fills up on the exhale, the vape getting thicker as you go, with the Berry weakening, you’ll notice a touch of citrus on your lips at the very end of the exhale.

Final thoughts:

A really tasty start to the “Reload” range! This one is going to go down a treat over the summer months with it’s sweet but tart opposing profiles. If you’re looking for something simple, sweet and fruity, “Blueberry Slush” will be right up your alley!

Presentation:

Such cool presentation this range has. All 60ml bottles came in Chubby Gorilla type clear plastic bottles with childproof cap and needle tip nozzle. The labels are the definition of simple, with the range name written boldly down the side “RELOAD”, and the juice name under it. All on a perfectly clear label mind you so that you can see the liquid level underneath. The subtle shadow of the Juice line name, is coloured according to the flavour, which is a nice little touch.
Everything else you might need is on the labels, bottle size, VG/PG Ratio, Ingredients, Warnings, Storage instructions, where it’s bottled, even the “dispose of in the bin” image is present!

Every juice comes in it’s own flavour branded coloured cardboard box with all of the same information that is on the bottles also. (Note: there are not many companies here in Australia that do this!)

Haku with slam cap running a single 0.17 ET coil from “Bombers Coils” on a mech mod.
OBS Engine RTA with a 0.2ohm Stainless coil running @ approx 50-80 watts.
