eJuice Review 417: The Sponsor by Vapors Anonymous

eJuice Review 417: The Sponsor by Vapors Anonymous

Wow that went quick! We’re onto review number five of the Vapors Anonymous range, which is the last of the collection.

I’ve really enjoyed this range, I’ve found them all to be not only well mixed, but unlike many overseas eliquids, these are sweet, without causing huge issues with gunking coils or needing to change out wicks often. That is a huge plus in my opinion. In fact, not just with this range, but I’ve noticed this happening a lot more lately and I love it!

Sweet juices are great, but a sweet juice without a tonne of extra artificial sweetener is a god-send, thankyou to all of you juice makers that take this into consideration 🙂

Anyway, today’s flavour is a shift from the rest of the range, which are mostly either complex desserts or fruity combos. This one is a candy. Let’s see how it goes!

Today, I’ll be reviewing “The Sponsor” from Vapors Anonymous.
(This eliquid was supplied by the vendor.)

Flavour Description

The Sponsor is a juicy pink strawberry chewy candy that will have you drooling with excitement! Its sure to become everyones new favorite candy flavor!

The Review:

I remember “The Sponsor”. I reviewed it a few years ago (Review #41), before it was redeveloped. It once was a “Green Apple, Juicy Center of a Peach, with more fruit”, let me tell you something, it is completely different now!

Vapors Anonymous have completely erased what once was “The Sponsor” and started again, this time coming up with a sweet strawberry candy flavour packed full of sweetness, a wall of tartness, and some mouth puckering tang.

If you were expecting a subtle, calm, gentle flavour from this you would be very sorely mistaken!

Individual Notes:

Obviously the main note in this flavour is Strawberry, it has aspects of the real thing, there is a wall of tartness there for one, that is very genuinely like the sharp acidic tartness that you’d get from biting down into the fruit, but there is also a sweet candy feel to this too.
The candy is very much like the old heart shaped hard candy that you’d buy from the store with the little wrappers on them. Rose candy I believe the flavour is, and it brilliantly contrasts with the natural realistic strawberry tartness.
It is very much two worlds colliding, artificial and real, candy and fruit, and both of them stand opposed to each other fighting for dominance.

There is absolutely a few different strawberry flavours used here, I’m not going to hazard a guess as I pick up a few little nuances that I’m not familiar with, and can only assume they have used a concentrate that I’ve not tried myself before.

Inhale & Exhale:

The inhale is a bit of both of the strawberries, they do blend together at this stage, but I’m not convinced that they are happy about it, and that is a great thing. This flavour is a powerhouse of strawberry and it just wouldn’t be the same if the two were too amicable.
As you inhale, you’ll notice the sweeter artificial strawberry fall away from the mix, as the sharper, tart, realistic strawberry pulls out all of the stops, and bludgeons you with its wall of sourness. This lasts right up until the top of the inhale, be prepared for it, it will knock you back a little 🙂

Just as quickly as the realistic strawberry’s tartness gets a hold of you, it lets go as you exhale, allowing the sweeter artificial strawberry heart candy to flow back into view, getting stronger and stronger, giving off an almost strawberry/watermelon vibe, a hard candy with a smooth base and a rich full sugary texture right through to the end of the vape.

Final thoughts:

Vapors Anonymous have done a great job on bringing these two strawberries together in a way that works, yet has them contrast against each other so much, creating quite a powerful and exciting mix.

I really love the hard candy exhale on this one, and have even gotten used to that massive hit of strawberry tartness on the inhale. 🙂

Strawberry lovers, this one is a must try.

Presentation:

Vapors Anonymous’s presentation is very professional. I received clear 60ml Chubby Gorilla bottles, that of course have child-proof caps and freshness seal. One great thing that I noticed, is that the freshness seal, when cracked, does not slip down over the nozzle, which is a major annoyance with other bottles. It stays where it is and doesn’t get in the way. The nozzles are a touch wider than the usual, which minimises leakage and juice seeping from the nozzle when you don’t want it to. These new Chubby Gorilla bottles are very impressive.

The labels on all of this line are fantastic, all different colours, with different fruits displayed on the front. The juice name, and this is another thing that I like, the juice general flavour/description front and centre. You won’t have to look the flavour name up online in order to know what the profile is!
The rest of the label displays the usual information, barcode, volume, nicotine level, warnings and ingredients.

What is missing, is the VG/PG ratios! It is available on their website, and why it wasn’t included on the labelling I really don’t know!

Test rigs:

Haku with slam cap running a single 0.17 ET coil from “Bombers Coils” on a mech mod.
OBS Engine RTA with a 0.2ohm Stainless coil running @ approx 50-80 watts.
