eJuice Review 414: Milk of the gods by Vapors Anonymous

Sorry about the delay everyone, I’ve had a pretty hectic couple of days and just haven’t had the chance to sit down and write this review until now.

This is the second of the Vapors Anonymous range that I’ll be reviewing and it’s a throw back to one that I reviewed some time ago.
A couple of years ago, I reviewed the original of this flavour, and while the basic profile hasn’t changed a lot, it has been refined and adjusted to get the best out of this flavour.

Originally touted as a Horchata, or cinnamon and rice milk, the edges have been smoothed and its now a delicious dessert with subtle hints of it’s former glory!

Let’s get into it!

Today, I’ll be reviewing “Milk of the Gods” from Vapors Anonymous.
(This eliquid was supplied by the vendor.)

Flavour Description

Milk of the Gods is a creamy caramel flavored eliquid with a surprising twist of golden nectar and a hint of cinnamon.

The Review:

Another great flavour here from Vapors Anonymous, I’ve enjoyed vaping this one very much and being a dessert lover, is right up my alley. To me, “Milk of the Gods” is a sweet thick creamy vape with undertones of rich caramel, sharp cinnamon spice, and a highlight of sweet honey.

This flavour has a fantastic depth to it, and keeps you guessing, as the different notes play with your senses throwing you differing experiences on every vape.

Individual Notes:

The creams really carry this flavour through the vape. I’m thinking it’s a blend of sweet cream and whipped cream, extra sweet, yet fluffy, soft and full textured.

The cinnamon spice in this is just right, it crescendos at just the right level without being overbearing, and carries a little warmth and sweetness to it also.

I don’t notice the honey a lot. On a really wet wick, I notice it, but the caramel sort of drowns it out, being fairly similar profiles. I do note that there is a bit of a tall note to this honey, either that or there is a fruit here of some sort. Something that wouldn’t overbear the other flavours and comes out right at the middle of the vape, adding a bit of dimension.

Inhale & Exhale:

On the inhale, I get an instant creamy caramel, lighter on the caramel, but really thick on the cream. It’s a sweet or a whipped cream with a softness that creates a full mouth feel straight away.

I notice a touch of cinnamon spice here, but only a small amount at this stage, as the 3 flavours hit home in succession none stand out as dominant, and each work side by side with one another.

Drawing out of the inhale and onto the exhale, the creams carry along the other flavours quite well, almost enveloping them in their sweet thickness, allowing each to come into play at different stages of the vape.

The caramel and cinnamon are first. At the beginning of the exhale, you’ll notice the cinnamon spice pick up a little, with it’s warm sugary spice adding a little depth to the cream, and giving it a bit of edge. It has a little bit of a warming nature which is quite welcomed, and is neatly done, without being overbearing at all. The caramel travels right along side the cinnamon adding some more thickness, and a little more sweetness to counter the cinnamon spice.

Just after the cinnamon makes an appearance, I pick up on the honey. It doesn’t come across as a really thick and sweet honey, more of a subtle background note, and with it a surprise flavour!

Just like my original review of Milk of the Gods, I’ve notice a little something extra in this juice, about midway through the exhale on a really wet wick, I notice an almost apple or pear note coming through, it could even be a touch of lemon or something else a little sweet, it’s not strong, but it adds an extra level of depth that only a fruit could.

After that flavour impact of cinnamon, fruit and the honey, the cream makes an appearance again at the end, blending everything down and knocking off a few of the sharper edges, to leave a really thick and smooth creamy exhale and aftertaste.

Final thoughts:

Vapors Anonymous have done a great job of resurrecting one of the successful flavours. It has all of the ticks in the right boxes, is sweet, full textured, and has a depth of flavour that all premium juices should have.

One thing I’ve noticed while I’ve been mucking around with builds while trying out this juice….. If you’re airflow is off the cinnamon will come across tinny and shallow. It’s really important to get your airflow right with this one. If you notice that the cinnamon is becoming overbearing or having a bit of a metallic to it, tune your airflow, adjust where your airhole is sitting in relation to your coil. When you hit the spot, you’ll know 😉

Anyway, great job on this one Vapors Anonymous, I’m really looking forward to the next one!

Where to Buy:

You can buy all of the “Vapors Anonymous” eliquids directly through the VapeCraft website , or purchase from one of the many online and physical stores across the USA stocking them.

Color:

Light yellow

Aroma:

Cinnamon Cream

Coil and wick damage:

No coil or wick damage, this is a pretty clean juice for a dessert.

PG/VG Ratio:

70%VG / 30%PG

Texture:

Sweet and sour, bright yet syrupy

Steeping:

This juice would benefit from a steep, due to the creams.

Presentation:

Vapors Anonymous’s presentation is very professional. I received clear 60ml Chubby Gorilla bottles, that of course have child-proof caps and freshness seal. One great thing that I noticed, is that the freshness seal, when cracked, does not slip down over the nozzle, which is a major annoyance with other bottles. It stays where it is and doesn’t get in the way. The nozzles are a touch wider than the usual, which minimises leakage and juice seeping from the nozzle when you don’t want it to. These new Chubby Gorilla bottles are very impressive.

The labels on all of this line are fantastic, all different colours, with different fruits displayed on the front. The juice name, and this is another thing that I like, the juice general flavour/description front and centre. You won’t have to look the flavour name up online in order to know what the profile is!
The rest of the label displays the usual information, barcode, volume, nicotine level, warnings and ingredients.

Test rigs:

Haku with slam cap running a single 0.17 ET coil from “Bombers Coils” on a mech mod.
OBS Engine RTA with a 0.2ohm Stainless coil running @ approx 50-80 watts.
