eJuice Review 415: Relapse by Vapors Anonymous

eJuice Review 415: Relapse by Vapors Anonymous

I’ve got another Vapors Anonymous juice up for review for all you good folks out there.

If you’re not familiar with them, the “Vapors Anonymous” range is made by “Vapecraft” across the pond in the USA.

The Vapors Anonymous range has been around for a long time now, and I have reviewed some of them before, but they’ve now been revamped and tickled up to cater for more modern vapers and their higher VG vaping habits.

Today, I’ll be reviewing “Relapse” from Vapors Anonymous.
(This eliquid was supplied by the vendor.)

Flavour Description

Relapse is a creamy pineapple float that will stop you from relapsing back to those lesser eliquids. With just one taste of this classic flavor you’ll be whipped.

The Review:

I think the description of this flavour probably could have gone into a little bit more detail, as I found myself expecting something completely different to what it really is. For some reason, I had a brighter pineapple in mind, with more of a vanilla bean ice cream backnote, more of an ice cream and fruit salad.

Instead, “Relapse” is not fresh pineapples, rather, cooked pineapple rings, sweet and syrupy, with a thick creamy background that thickens things up and smoothes the pineapple out into an interesting dessert profile.

Individual Notes:

Pineapple is the main note in this flavour without a doubt. However, it is not a bright and sharp pineapple as you might expect, more-so, a baked pineapple, warm, sweet and syrupy, just like you’d get in a pineapple pie.

The cream in this I feel is very much a sweet cream, or a whipped cream. It has that lighter feel, not weighty, or bold, it thickens the vape up just enough without overtaking the lighter pineapple.

Inhale & Exhale:

I get an immediate cream note on the inhale, it’s thick and milky, yet light enough to allow some initial pineapple to shine through. The mid range pineapple is smooth and syrupy, almost like a fried pineapple ring. This features all the way through the inhale, until just as you reach the end of the inhale, where a bright sharper pineapple appears.
You’ll get a little tickle in the throat, and a slight acidic pineapple sharpness here, which is probably the most intense part of the vape.

Beyond that big pineapple hit at the end of the inhale, the exhale is very much like the beginning of the vape, a smooth syrupy pineapple, more sweet than anything, partnered with a light sweet cream background that rounds out the vape, creating a feeling of full cream thickness. The rest of the exhale is this same sweet cream with highlights of sweet syrupy pineapple.

Final thoughts:

I’ve enjoyed this one, I feel like the intensity of flavour could possibly have been a little stronger, but it is a nice smooth vape. This is quite a desserty flavour, so if you’re expecting a sharp, tall pineapple note, you’ll be disappointed. This is more of a baked pineapple, with sweet cream, smooth and thick.

Definitely one for the dessert lovers!

Presentation:

Vapors Anonymous’s presentation is very professional. I received clear 60ml Chubby Gorilla bottles, that of course have child-proof caps and freshness seal. One great thing that I noticed, is that the freshness seal, when cracked, does not slip down over the nozzle, which is a major annoyance with other bottles. It stays where it is and doesn’t get in the way. The nozzles are a touch wider than the usual, which minimises leakage and juice seeping from the nozzle when you don’t want it to. These new Chubby Gorilla bottles are very impressive.

The labels on all of this line are fantastic, all different colours, with different fruits displayed on the front. The juice name, and this is another thing that I like, the juice general flavour/description front and centre. You won’t have to look the flavour name up online in order to know what the profile is!
The rest of the label displays the usual information, barcode, volume, nicotine level, warnings and ingredients.

Test rigs:

Haku with slam cap running a single 0.17 ET coil from “Bombers Coils” on a mech mod.
OBS Engine RTA with a 0.2ohm Stainless coil running @ approx 50-80 watts.
