eJuice Review 389: Red Stuff from Juice by Coops

eJuice Review 389: Red Stuff from Juice by Coops

I apologise about the large gap of time between reviews guys, but I’m back again with another review from the Juice by Coops range of juices.

I have to say, the first flavour blew me away, it was quite a genuine replication of everyones favourite hard candy, lemon drops!

This range is supposed to be predominantly candy based, so I think we know what we can expect from this next one!

Today, I’ll be reviewing “Red Stuff”.
(This eliquid was supplied by the vendor.)

Flavour Description

Based with raspberry and made with other juicy red flavours, this makes for a very appealing and mouth watering candy vape.

The Review:

This one could have gone in a few different directions. Were we to get a Hard candy Redskins flavour? How about a soft jelly raspberry? Even a Starburst raspberry chew?

Either way, raspberry vapes are some of my favourites, so are the candies! So I was going to be pleased anyway, but what I didn’t expect was this! Someone mentioned to me in a comment a few days ago, that “Red Stuff” was just like eating candy red frogs.

I actually don’t think I could get any more accurate than that, so whoever said that is absolutely spot on!

“Red Stuff” reminds me of Red Frogs, not quite soft and chewy, but when you get one that has gone a little harder, and you really have to bite into it. Similar to an Allens red raspberry jelly candy, when it goes a little harder. A sweet raspberry chew that will roll around in your mouth for ages, with a punch of flavour as soon as you throw it in your mouth.

Individual Notes

There really is only the one flavour here, granted, I’m sure Coops has used a few different concentrates in order to get this unique flavour, but it really is just raspberry, a sweet, gummy raspberry.j

I could extrapolate, and mention the levels of gummy present but it goes without saying, after I’ve described this as a bit of a “Red Frog” flavour. You all know what they taste like, a little gummy, but with a slightly sweeter raspberry thrown in to give you that impact.

Inhale & Exhale

On the inhale, I get a full rich candy strawberry flavour, light on the sweetness at this point, and definitely not at its complete intensity, but it does pack quite a punch. At the top of the inhale, you get a slightly tart, almost realistic raspberry note as it reaches it’s crescendo.

That natural raspberry tartness disappears quite quickly however, as soon as the exhale begins. The sweeter feel comes into play here, with a rush of candy and gummy flavour, quickly turning this into a full flavoured, sugary raspberry candy.

It plays with your tastebuds a little, as it changes from it’s realistic note, to a raspberry hard candy, and finally to it’s soft jelly candy, or red frogs flavour, all 3 flowing into one another, creating quite a little complex collection of raspberry.

The aftertaste is awesome, Im a little biased of course, raspberry being one of my favourite flavours, it lingers in your mouth, with the sweetness staying strong around the inside of your lip.

Final thoughts

Totally loved this one, it’s sweet but not too sweet, I think Coops has found a really nice common ground with the sweetness. My wicks haven’t suffered much either, so this has minimal additional sweetener, relying on the raspberry to provide that for us.

I don’t think there is much more I can say about this one, we all know the flavour. It does exactly what it says on the tin!

Great work on this one!

30%PG / 70%VG

Presentation:

The presentation of this new range is quite good, Coops has redesigned some labels to suit, and they hit the spot nicely for the flavour profiles that are on offer. I received 30ml plastic unicorn bottles with screw cap lids and needle tips.
As I mentioned the labels are quite colourful, redesigned specifically for the range, with the logo, some cool graphics and all of the details you could ask for.

Test rigs:

Haku with slam cap running a single 0.17 framed staple coil on a mech mod.
OBS Engine RTA with a 0.2ohm Stainless coil running @ approx 50-80 watts.
