eJuice Review 388: Yellow Stuff from Juice by Coops

This week’s range comes from Juice by Coops, he’s a Western Australian vendor that has been around now for quite some time now. I’ve reviewed his standard range in the past, and found them to be quite good, solid flavours and provide a tonne of different profiles, something to please almost any vaper in fact!

This new range of Coop’s is a candy range, and I’m chomping at the bit to find out what he’s done with them!

Let’s get started!

Today, I’ll be reviewing “Yellow Stuff”.
(This eliquid was supplied by the vendor.)

Flavour Description

A sweet and sour lemon candy flavoured blend. Perfectly balanced with just the right amount of mouthwatering tartness and sugary goodness to make it a pleasurable all day vape.

The Review:

I don’t think I’ve seen one of these done before, my memory is really bad, so perhaps don’t quote me on that, but it’s something I’m a little surprised I haven’t seen more of. Everyone knows this one, remember the small hard candy lemon drops that you’d eat as a kid? You’d crunch them as quickly as possible to get to the sherbert in the middle, and then just end up with the hard candy stuck in your teeth?

Coop’s has done quite a good job at replicating this, to me “Yellow Stuff” is that instant lemon flavour hit you’d get when popping one in your mouth, there is that slight sourness, quickly transferring to a sweeter note, thicker and stickier, giving you the feeling that you’ve been munching on them all day long!

Individual Notes

The lemon here is completely candy, it’s not realistic, it is exactly what you would expect from a hard candy. Sweet and sour rolled into one, with a slight stickiness to it.

There is an extra bit of sweetness here too, its a little sherbert-like, not completely, but it definitely mimmicks sherbert and it’s full texture, flowing on from the sweet and sour lemon.

Inhale & Exhale

I’m actually finding that “Yellow stuff” kind of reverses things around a little. Instead of getting that sweet and sour hard lemon candy on the inhale, and then the sherbert on the exhale, flip it around and this is what you have.

On the inhale, I get that sweet and sour instantly, however as you draw, the sherbert inhale hits your taste buds, rolls around in your mouth, creating quite an intense flavour. Picture that first bite when you crack open a lemon drop, and this is the flood of flavour that you’ll get on the inhale. Slightly sour, but a real sherbert sweetness.

Over to the exhale, the sherbert continues, but begins to trail off, as the sticky hard candy lemon comes into play. That profile and sweetness that you get after you’ve sucked all of the sherbert out and are left with the empty shell rolling around in your mouth. Its a smooth sweet and sour candy that you could enjoy all day.

Final thoughts

First flavour and I’m impressed so far, this is tasty, and flavoursome. Even after 3 days vaping this, it hasn’t lost any of it’s impact or any of it’s individual notes. The sweetness is still strong, as is the sourness, and that sherbert inhale is as strong as ever.

There is some sweetener in here, but it’s minimal, and I’ve only had to change out my wick after the second day, which is quite an achievement for a profile like this.

Well done Coops, great work.

Presentation:

The presentation of this new range is quite good, Coops has redesigned some labels to suit, and they hit the spot nicely for the flavour profiles that are on offer. I received 30ml plastic unicorn bottles with screw cap lids and needle tips.
As I mentioned the labels are quite colourful, redesigned specifically for the range, with the logo, some cool graphics and all of the details you could ask for.

Haku with slam cap running a single 0.17 framed staple coil on a mech mod.
OBS Engine RTA with a 0.2ohm Stainless coil running @ approx 50-80 watts.
