eJuice Review 386: Froots by The Barton Vape Co
Today’s flavour is one of The Barton Vape Co’s latest flavours, only just released a few weeks ago along with Monti, which I’ll be reviewing next.
Every vendor seems to have one of these profiles, and now so do The Barton! Crunchy Fruit loops in a bed of tasty sugared milk!
Today, I’ll be reviewing “Froots”.
(This eliquid was supplied by the vendor.)
Flavour Description
A tasty breakfast cereal bringing back childhood memories filled with colour
The Review:
There are a lot fruit loop flavours out there, I’ve said so in past reviews, every vendor seems to have one, as they were quite popular about a year ago. Having said that, it’s a bit of a polarising profile, some love it some hate it. But it definitely has it’s fans!
See, the trick to a fruit loops flavour, is to get the lemon right. You heard correctly, there is a distinct lemon note in fruit loops, every colour has it, and its the lemon mixed with the cereal profile that makes for that unique taste.
The problem with many, is that they over-emphasise the lemon flavouring, in order to trick you into getting that fruit loops feel, with little thought as to what is to come later.
The Barton Vape Co know this and have tailored “Loops” to not only have that distinct fruit loops lemon nuance, but follow it up with a real textured cereal base, and a creamy exhale.
Individual Notes
As I mentioned, fruit loops has a dominant lemon flavour through it, which “Loops” definitely has, but it’s thoughtfully dialed back, to allow the other flavours in the profile to show through.
Are there other fruits in here? It does feel like there are some other fruits in here too, it’s really difficult to pin point them, but I’m finding that I pick up some other citrus’s in here too. Perhaps a touch of orange and lime. Both very well blended and used as complimentary flavours. If I’m right, its pure genius.
The cereal base that I get is quite thick textured and bran or wheat based. A mix between a bran flakes type of cereal and rice crispies.
Inhale & Exhale
The inhale is dominant lemon, what some would refer to as (lemon pledge) the flavour that is in many fruit loops concentrates and gives it that unmistakeable fruit loops feel. It is strong in the beginning, but wavers off a little as the inhale continues, I believe that this is due to the extra citrus added, which gives the inhale a level of depth.
At the turn of the inhale and onto the exhale, the lemon and citrus takes a bit of a back seat as gradually the cereal notes come into play, starting at the back as a base note, and moving forward through the palate, this branny/rice crispy cereal blends with the inhale’s citrus to create a much more complex mix.
As the exhale continues, these cereal notes level off, and a nice thick cream moves forward washing against the cereal notes giving off that “end of the bowl” feel, light citrus notes, with crunchy yet milk soaked cereal all blending to create a lovely cereal blend.
Final thoughts
All in all, this is a really great fruit loops rendition. As I mentioned earlier, it does share that real artificial lemon note that many do, however that’s easily offset by that nice full textured cereal note that appears and carries through the exhale adding some thickness to the vape.
Throw in some lovely creamy notes, and you’ve got yourself and awesome “end of the bowl” fruit loops, still convincingly crunchy but with a milk soaked cereal base adding depth and complexity.
Great work guys!

Presentation:
I’m really liking the clean professional presentation of The Barton range. It’s straight to the point, clear and concise, and visually appealing. I have right here, 30ml black tinted LDPE bottles with child-proof cap and needle tip dispenser. The labels are professionally printed, with a different pattern for each flavour, the Barton Vape Co logo front and centre, as well as the juice name, and the words “Ready to Vape”.
As for information on the labels, they have the usual stuff, but a little more interesting, this is the first time I’ve come across an Aussie vendor going to the trouble of mentioning nuts, soy and dairy. Specifically, “May contain traces of tree nuts, soy and dairy”.
If indeed many eliquids “could” contain any of these things, this should be on every bottle from every vendor. Great work on that guys.
Test rigs:
Haku with slam cap running a single 0.17 framed staple coil on a mech mod.
OBS Engine RTA with a 0.2ohm Stainless coil running @ approx 50-80 watts.
