Wotofo SRPNT 24mm RDA Review

Wotofo SRPNT 24mm RDA Review

Hi again folks, it feels like I haven’t reviewed an RDA in a good long while, so here’s your fix!

Today’s review is of one of Wotofo’s latest products, we all know Wotofo, they brought us the Profile range of tanks, RDA’s and Mods, and have a long history of successful products even before those.

Well they’re back with an RDA that might just tickle your fancy, whether you’re a dripper or prefer squonk devices. This pretty little thing has a lot going on!

Let’s check out Wotofo’s SRPNT RDA!

Big thanks goes to Wotofo, who sent this out for the purposes of review!

General Info

The Wotofo SRPNT RDA is a stunning little RDA, specially the gold version that I received. It’s a 24mm diameter RDA, with adjustable airflow, domed top cap, 810 removeable drip tip, a well thought out deck design, gorgeous styling, and optional squonk pin for all of you squonkers!

There are 6 colours available right now, Black, stainless steel, bronze, blue, gold, and rainbow. So you’re bound to find a colour to your liking, each also comes with a unique coloured drip tip. (Mine is clear with gold flakes)

Top Cap & Airflow

The top cap of course is the part that you see most, and it’s embellished with some really nice embossing, with the SRPNT logo on the side, scales etched into a ring around the top, and the SRPNT text just below the drip tip.

It’s a two piece design, with the outer sleeve, locking down onto the deck via a notch so that it doesn’t move, and the inner sleeve being the part that spins, allowing you to adjust your airflow, when lining up the airflow holes. On that note, if you take a close look, the outer sleeve, the inner sleeve, AND the deck all have airflow holes and need to line up for an unrestricted vape, that’s a lot of holes to get through.

The inner sleeve which also consists of the cap that the 810 drip tip sits inside of is domed, for isolating the vapour direction to the mouthpiece and helps provide some pretty good flavour.

The outer cap has x4 1.9mm holes on each side, allowing you to adjust the inner sleeve’s airflow holes to line up with.

There are 3 sets of airflow holes in the inner cap, allowing you to choose between x4 (on each side) 1.9mm holes, x4 (on each side) 1.6mm holes, and x2 (on each side) 1.9mm holes, of which you can adjust to your hearts content.

The Deck

The deck has been quite well thought out, with it’s 4 posts split across the middle, which allows you to not only run this beast in single coil mode (which Wotofo supply a very large coil for), but also with 2 coils, one either side, should you wish.

As you can see above, the posts are on either side of airflow blocks, that pull air in from the side of the RDA through 4 small holes, that also line up directly with the 3 airflow hole variations on the top cap.

Other notable things about the deck are that you have some phillips head screws to clamp your coil legs down, and there is a lowered step down area in the deck to allow for the wicks to soak up all of that e-liquidy goodness.

The bottom of the deck is nice and flat, with the positive pin sitting slightly lower than it, so when using this RDA as a squonker, you will get the eliquid coming up and across the deck and out toward the stepped down wicking areas. You also have an optional squonking pin in the accessories bag.

Building

Building on the SRPNT is really simple. Wotofo have supplied some coils, both a large 5mm dual core fusion Clapton which comes out to 0.65Ω for big single coil usage, and two 3mm frame nail Claptons loading up at 0.33Ω should you wish to use dual coils. You also get a coiling tool in the box to hold the coil steady while you screw them down.

Pop your coil/coils in, tighten down the phillips head screws, adjust, dry burn and then wick. It’s as simple as that.
Wicking is just as easy, snipping your wick off just long enough to touch the bottom of the deck.

Pros:

  • Nice large deck
  • Lovely styling and embossing
  • 810 drip tip
  • Adjustable airflow
  • Included squonk pin

Cons:

  • Top cap is quite tight
  • Airflow allows air leaks between inner and outer sleeve
  • Limited airflow adjustment levels

Where to Buy:

You can pick up the new Wotofo SRPNT RDA directly through Wotofo’s online store for around the $35 USD mark. You can also pick one up from various Vape Stores in Australia for around the $42 AU price point, which is quite a good price for the RDA and all of the accessories you are getting.

Conclusion

All in all the SRPNT RDA is quite a well thought out RDA, it’s well built, stylish and puts out a flavoursome vape. I have had an issue with it, it revolves around needing to fiddle with it a little to get things right. (something I really shouldn’t need to do)

Air seems to seep between the sleeves in the top cap creating a little bit of noise, and a touch of whistling. I can adjust this a little so that the airflow holes don’t directly line up, and it goes away, but I shouldn’t have to do that. I should be getting a much less noisy experience without needing to adjust. This is slightly irritating, and does detract from the great vape that this RDA puts out. For me, it’s a bit of a deal killer, but if you’re used to noisy RDA’s this may not bother you so much. In fact, you might think I’m a little nuts for even mentioning it.

Other than that one thing, I’m getting some amazing results out of this RDA, the flavour is great, and being able to swing a single coil around either way due to the 4 posts is excellent. Providing enough room for dual coils was also a great idea, so that this RDA can double as either a single or dual coil RDA.

I’m going to pop the squonk pin in now and see how I go using this as a squonking RDA!

Good stuff Wotofo, well done on this one!
