e-Juice Review: Strawberry Margarita from Hitman Vaping

e-Juice Review: Strawberry Margarita from Hitman Vaping

Welcome back! It’s mid-week and of course, I have another e-liquid review for you all.

As you might have seen, at the moment, I’m taking a look at the Hitman Vaping range of e-liquids, which have had a bit of a design overhaul of late. These guys have been around a little while but recently updated their bottle labels and display.

Based mainly around beverages and cocktails, the Hitman Vaping range was created to offer a little bit more of a ‘left field’ option for those looking for something a little different, some profiles that weren’t your average ‘run of the mill’ flavours that most juice makers create.
Tailored to the more adventurous palate, I reckon they’re onto a good thing, so let’s get stuck into today’s review.

Today I’ll be reviewing “Strawberry Margarita” from Hitman Vaping.

(This e-liquid was supplied by Hitman Vaping for review. )

Flavour Description

[From the website]
Just like the fruit that packs a punch, our take on the Strawberry Margarita delivers a fusion of premium tequila base, sweet strawberries, and sour citrus. When shaken together, expect a taste that’s vibrant and flavourful.

(This product does not contain any alcohol. Only permitted flavorings are used in producing this e-liquid.)

Initial Thoughts

You really expect a bit of a power punch of flavour from a profile like this. I’ll admit, I thought this was going to be a punch in the face of intensity, but it’s actually not. Similar to my last review of “Gin & Tonic” I’ve found “Strawberry Margarita” to be another delicate blend from Hitman Vaping.

Light strawberry, blended with an underlying, sharper citrus offers up a more refined beverage flavour, with a light bitter alcohol stretching the profile out for a more mature flavour.

This is a light and tasty blend of sweet strawberry, sharp citrus washed with a small amount of bitterness for a nice clean flavour.

Individual Notes

There is of course strawberry here, it’s a sweet yet, almost ripe and realistic strawberry, a little tart. It’s a little candy-like, with that air of a flavour wash rather than a solid flavour packed strawberry.

Along with the strawberry, you’ll likely notice a citrus feel to this flavour too, I’m likening it more to a bitter citrus fruit, like a grapefruit, with a little lime. Again, just like the strawberry, it isn’t an ‘in your face’ flavour, more an accent that helps create the entire profile.

There is also a little more bitterness here too, very much like a gin kind of bitterness. I picked up this same note in the “Gin & Tonic” review that I did the other day.

Inhale & Exhale

The beginning of the inhale sees the strawberry instantly appear, fairly light at first but getting stronger as the inhale continues. It’s quite a bright and sweet flavour at this time, with a slight candy note coming through.

I do notice an underlying citrus washing under the strawberry here. It’s almost a lime but not quite as prominent as a lime would be. It’s nice as it adds a little sharpness to the strawberry.

At the top of the inhale, the strawberry hits it’s peak as the citrus seems to continue on the same path, a simple underlying background note, not taking over but also not completely disappearing.

As you exhale that citrus sharp note subsides a little as the strawberry also falls back allowing some bitterness through. It’s hard to tell if this bitterness is coming from the citrus actually intensifying like a grapefruit flavour would or if it’s a bitter note from the alcohol influence.

Either way it is a nice contrast, and all comes to a head before the rest of the exhale sweetens up a little with a fuzzy, almost soda water/mineral water finish with light undertones of citrus and strawberry.

Final thoughts

I honestly hoped that this might be a little stronger than it has been. Being a beverage, I kind of expected an instant hit in flavour, rather than it being as drawn out as it is.

If you’re into more delicate flavours, this might be for you, it really centres around more of a soda water or tonic water wash than a powerful strawberry/citrus blend, and comes across as a little watered down than might have been intended.

Don’t get me wrong, this is tasty flavour, but you will have to pump up the volume and hit this one as hard as you can to pick out the various nuances in it.

Not bad guys, just needs a little more oomph!

Presentation:

Wonderful presentation here. Hitman have gone the extra peg and had boxes made for their e-liquid bottles, each offset printed, with a UV clear printed over the top giving a brilliantly professional finish, designed to match the bottle’s branding and look.

I received 60ml tinted Chubby gorilla bottles with child-proof and tamper-proof caps, and needle tip dispensers.

The labels are a lovely classy satin/matt black printed with a silver underlay. Front and center are the main flavour and brand name, with an image of the beverage, a lovely hand-drawn piece of artwork.

On the back is where you’ll find all your information. Manufacturing details, ingredients, warnings, PG/VG ratio, bottle size and zero nicotine declaration. You’ll also find a batch number, as well as my favourite part, an ISO 6 certified clean-room stamp. Yep these are bottled in a certified clean room!
