Hardware Review: Brez POD System by Apollo Ecigs
Welcome to the Brez pod system from Apollo!
As you can probably work out, the Brez pod system was created by Apollo Ecigs, one rather large international company! You can purchase the Brez directory from one of their international websites, either in the EU/UK, or USA.
It’s nice to see a company like Apollo move with the times and adopt new technologies, embracing the change in vaper’s preferred products and how they now use them!
Apollo are known for producing quality products, this is why I was really excited to try this POD system, this is going to be great!

The Review
The Brez Pod system from Apollo, really is a sleek little device. I have to say that I wasn’t really expecting much, but as soon as I picked this little stick vape up, and felt the quality, and the solid vape that it puts out, I was sold.
From the quality finish of the battery section, to that strong magnetic click when you snap a pod into the main body, you can tell Apollo have spared no expense getting this one right.
Let’s give you a run down.
The POD
This is a pre-filled POD system. You don’t need to worry about the lifetime of the pods with the Brez, because it is a disposable prefilled POD setup.
There is a choice of 6 different flavours currently, and they’re actually pretty good!
- RY4: This one is a tobacco, vanilla, and caramel. It’s sweet and velvety vape, and the tobacco gives it a mature flavour.
- Breeze: Its a smooth menthol. A little sweet and more like a spearmint gum. Its just the right level of cold without getting too chilly!.
- Tobacco: A nutty/woody tobacco, that’s not overly intense. Similar to their RY4 flavour but without the caramel and vanilla.
- Melon: Very much a melon flavour, although pretty light on taste.
- Berry Blend: A very nice berry mix that is sweet and fruity, but not overly punchy. Very much a fruity candy vape, with indistinct berries.
- Tobacco Menthol: Again, a tobacco just like the RY4 a little smokey and a little dry, just without the vanilla and caramel. This also has the menthol hit from “Breeze” to give you a light chill to the vape.
Sure, not a huge selection of flavours, but these are all very good base flavours to start off with. Let’s not forget that this is aimed at newer vapers giving up the cigarettes where choice leads to complexity, and complexity causes confusion.
These pods carry up to 1ml of eliquid, and sport a TruCeramic Coil, a revolutionary heating element that vaporises for a smooth and flavourful hit.
You can choose PODS prefilled with either 25mg or 50mg nicotine salts.
The Main Body
The main body is smooth, it has a hard anodised matte finish that feels great in the hand. The curved sides of the body aid in how smooth this is to hold. The weighting is fantastic, and the lightness of this battery means, you’ll barely feel it in your pocket!
This has a fantastic form factor, that is great to hold, easy to tuck away in your pocket, very transportable.
Usage
There is no 5 clicks on, or 5 clicks off with this device, it’s draw activated, so there are also no buttons what-so-ever. Stick it in your mouth and take a pull, you’ll marvel at the fantastic vape that this provides.
Clipping a pod in is easy, there are magnets on both the battery and pod sides, so they slide in and click with an audible and physical magnetic click. A very satisfying thing, and I find myself removing it and clicking the pod back in over and over again.
Just like the pod, the charging cable clips on magnetically with that very same audible click and magnetic pull. Plug the other end in the wall socket via USB and you’ll be charged in no time. Not that you have to worry about charging too much, because despite this only having a 320 mah battery, it lasts quite a while.
Autodraw
The autodraw on this is fantastic, often with autodraw pods, you’ll have to put a bit of effort into your puffs, but the Brez is quite sensitive and a natural puff is all that is needed to get the full effect.
I have noticed that taking a really large pull can give a little bit of an anaemic vape, like it has been over-vaped and is not as cloudy or as full flavoured as it normally would be, so a short quick puff is more than enough to get a great vape out of this setup.
Charging
As mentioned earlier, this comes with a charging cable with a magnetic connector and on the other end a USB plug. Plug it into your wall block and you’ll be charged in no time, every time I’ve needed to charge it has only taken an hour and a bit to get to full capacity again.
The built in white LED will light up while the battery is charging, and disappear when fully charged.
Pros:

Cons:
- A little leaking from pods if left laying on it’s side for a long time.
- Pods are not refillable (one time use only)
- Closed system
Conclusion
Seriously, this is as simple as it gets, and Apollo have done a wonderful job making that happen. From super clean lines to great vapour production and just a lovely look and feel, Apollo really have gone to town on this one, to make sure it will be a hit.
Not much larger than a Juul, this will give you a slightly airier hit, only a little though. I’d consider this to have the perfect amount of restriction for a mouth to lung device. Great for a nice cool vape, but not airy enough to need to take a direct to lung inhale.
This is a closed system, so you won’t be refilling your pods, but if you’re just starting out, and want to a take a super simple route to quitting, this is a really good option.
