eLiquid Review 498: Vibe – EDM from VapeCraft

This week I’ve got some more overseas blends to take a look at. This time around it’s VapeCrafts relatively new range “VIBE”.

We’re pretty familiar with VapeCraft here as we’ve reviewed a number of their e-liquids, but if you haven’t come across them before, they hail from California, and are home to some fairly popular juice ranges like “Vapors Anonymous“, and “High Class Vape Co“.

This new “VIBE” range, was released a few months ago, at the end of 2018, and has a heavy music theme, with eliquid names such as : Country, Blues, Rock etc..

Today, I’ll be reviewing “EDM” from VapeCraft’s VIBE range.
(This eliquid was supplied by the vendor for review.)

Flavour Description

[From the website]

“EDM is a delicious blend of cherries shuffling their way into a fizzy lemon-lime soda explosion of entrancing flavor that will keep your vibe going all night long. “

Flavor: Juicy cherries shuffled in with a fizzy lemon-lime soda

The Review

This one is fruity, sugary sweet with a fizz and a tang that you can only get from a citrus! I honestly wasn’t too hopeful as Cherry flavours tend to fall to the more Cough Syrup side of things, but not this one.

On first pull, I was pleasantly surprised, “EDM” (Electronic Disco Music?) is a sugary sweet candy cherry washed over with lemonade, sweet also, but with some sharp sourness and tang thrown into the mix to make sure you’re paying attention!

Individual Notes

This cherry, despite what you may expect, is a very candy cherry, similar to hard candies, sweet, quite sugary, with a more cherry/raspberry note than a true cherry. There really is no cough syrup note here, you might get a slight cough syrup feel but that is short lived as the lemon and lime help carry it through.

The lemon and lime blend together quite well. You could almost call this a lime-ade. The lemon providing that light fizz, while the lime will smack you in the chops with a more intense sourness.
More a fizzy, sour lemonade than natural flavourings, the cherry pairs very well with these two to produce a very nice candy flavour.

Inhale & Exhale

This one has very little difference between the inhale and exhale, it starts off with the cherry being most dominant, very candy-like, sweet with a hard candy feel to it. At the same time as noticing the lemonade (limeade) appear, theres a moment of cherry cough syrup, but only briefly, as the lemonade increases and begins to even it out a little.

At the top of the inhale and onto the exhale, is where you’ll notice the flavour peak, the lime’s sourness appears sharply, with a tang that might surprise you, which then falls back just as quickly to mingle and blend back in with the lemonade. The cherry is equally strong throughout, and it’s at this point of the lime falling back into the lemonade, that you’ll notice the fizziness of this flavour coming through too. More a sign of the end of the vape than the peak, this fizziness rides right through to finish things off with that sweet and sugary cherry candy, and lemonade combination.

Final thoughts

This is definitely a change up from the last few eliquids I’ve reviewed, a little fruity, a little fizzy, and quite sweet.

Despite the cherry being a very candied cherry, it’s pleasant, very sweet with a very acceptable flavour intensity, you can taste it past any of the other flavours and really is the main nuance. It’s not a cough syrup cherry really either, sure you will pick up on that note every so often, but pushing past it, and taking a nice big pull will have you experience more of a cherry candy.

This is definitely an interesting combination, which works really well with the lemon-lime providing a little sourness to the sweet cherry, and the sugary fizzy finish polishing it all up.

Easily all day vape material, this is a palate friendly juice that won’t smash your tastebuds but won’t leave you wanting for more flavour either.

What would I do differently? I think I’d focus on bringing in more of a realistic lemonade and drop some of the sweetener which kind of cheapens this and limits it’s potential.

I’ve enjoyed this one very much!

Well done guys.

Presentation:

Vapecraft always have quite good presentation, and this range is no different. I received 60ml Chubby Gorilla bottles, with child-proof and tamper proof seal, needle tip dispenser. The labels are vibrant, and colourful, with the addition of the vibe logo being in metallic print. Each label has flavour specific colouring, the vibe logo, nicotine warning, bottle size, and the rest is just really quite hard to read.

All of the information is here, it’s just not readable. After taking a photo with my camera phone, I enlarged the text and could read it without issue, but to the human eye? Nada. The unreadable text is mainly ingredients list and general warnings, so not a big deal to general users, but it might be something they should look at to ensure everything can be read.

Otherwise, these are some fairly well designed labels.

Test rigs:

Original Haku Cruiser running a single 0.17 framed staple coil on a mech mod.
Augvape Intake RTA with a 0.2ohm Stainless coil running @ approx 50-80 watts.
