e-Liquid Review: Graporade ICE from Solomons Clouds

e-Liquid Review: Graporade ICE from Solomons Clouds

Welcome back gang!

I’ve got a short review for you today, as this one is very much like it’s namesake, only with a little cooling added. (I could have addressed it in the same review, but I think it warrants it’s own)

Today’s flavour is “Graporade ICE” from Solomons Clouds. The chilled version of “Graporade“.

Solomon’s Clouds are an eliquid company based out of Western Australia, born from necessity, but developed over time, they’ve managed to build a 6 flavour juice range, with varying profiles, from fruits, right through to desserts, so you’ll be sure to find something that fits your perfect profile.

Without further ado, let’s take a look!

(This eliquid was supplied by the vendor for review.)

Flavour Description

[From the website]
You asked for it, now it’s here. Our ever popular graporade, now with an icy blast. Beware of brain freezes!

The Review

I love chilled vapes, specially on hot days like we’ve been having here lately, flavours with that cooling sensation really hit the spot and grape is the perfect fruit to mix with it.

“Graporade ICE” sees the familiar candy/juice/hubba bubba flavour of the original recipe joined by an icy cold blast that punches through to give it some extra kick and cool you down on those hot summer days.

“Graporade ICE, brings you all the best of the original recipe with a cold chill that punches right through the centre!”

Individual Notes

The candy grape in here makes a comeback, and is the main strong note, it’s sweet, sugary, and with that, juicy. One of those flavours that screams “remember me from your childhood?”, but that’s not all this flavour is…

The grape juice also retuns with a candy vibe, but a little energy drink feel to it, just like the original, not sickly sweet, but with warmer undertones.

The realistic grape, and that unusual gummy, wine gums feel is also here, but this time really dialed back. It’s not as noticeable with this chilled version, but it is there, and helps to alleviate a little of the chill on the exhale. It’s more a grape “fleshy” sort of tone without the skin, a little gummy with a vegetable gum note to it, and something you might just easily miss in all that is going on.

Lastly the chill factor. This one is cold, as with all chilled flavours, you’ll get used to it, but initially it’s quite a blast of cold right at the back of the throat.

Inhale & Exhale

Straight off the bat, you’ll instantly notice those familiar candy/juicy grape tones, sweet with an almost hubba bubba hint to it, but along with it, the beginning of a big chill that gets stronger as you go.

As the inhale continues, the cooling continues but the grape notes aren’t pushed away, they’re quite persistent, which is a good thing, holding on with a full and robust flavour, sweet and juicy.

Leading up to and at the top of the inhale is where you’ll get the most flavour from this one, warmer candy grape tones, followed up by a sharp icy throat feel from the cooling. They both work quite well together, neither washing over the other, but combining for a very pragmatic and purposeful mix full of both flavour and texture.

As you exhale, the chill takes over a little as your throat gets a cold kick to it, slowly recovering, in time for a little of that realistic grape pull through, warming things a little and settling down the cooling with a little contrast.

The remnants of the chill remain toward the end as the sugar hit comes back sweetening the vape, and leaving you with a lovely after taste.

Final thoughts

Absolutely fantastic. I think this chilled version is even better than the original. All of the same notes are there, from sweet candy, through to grape juice and a light realistic tone, but that chill factor just makes it sing.

I’m quite pleased with this, the bottle is pretty much empty and I’ll be looking forward to trying out the other chilled flavour in Solomon’s range very soon.

If you love your menthols, and cold vapes, and your sweet fruits, you’ll get a kick out of this.

Great work guys!

Presentation:

The whole Solomon’s Clouds range has a very professional presentation. I received 60ml Chubby Gorilla bottles, with tamper proof seals and child proof caps. The bottles are dark tinted with black caps and needle tip dispensers.

On the label you have Solomon’ s Clouds and the flavour name prominently displayed front and centre, with matching colour band, and a bunch of other information. PG/VG ratio, bottle size, flavour profile, Lab information, website url, Ingredients and barcode. I noticed that there are no warnings at all on the label besides “This product contains zero nicotine”.

What is on the label, which I really love, is a scale that shows how much juice you have left in the bottle up to one of the inside edges where the label doesn’t quite meet together. A popular spot to hold your bottle up to the light to see how much is left is made that much more useful with a scale that goes through “Refill”, 1/4, “Half”, 3/4, and “Full” stages.
A very cool idea!
