eLiquid Review 325: Citrus Tart by Nectar Nation

eLiquid Review 325: Citrus Tart by Nectar Nation

So far I’ve been pretty impressed with “Nectar Nation’s” range of flavours, they’ve all been flavoursome, full bodied and really tasty. The bad news is that there are only five, and today is the fifth and final juice to review.

The good news is that I’ve left the best for last! As soon as I took a whiff of this flavour, I instinctively knew that it would be something great, and so left it until last!

Let’s see if its as good as I think it will be!

Today I’ll be reviewing “Citrus Tart” by Nectar Nation!
(This eliquid was supplied by the vendor)

Flavour Description:

A delicious blend of fresh lemon, mandarin and blood orange come together to create a thin crust, zesty sicilian styled tart.

The Review:

This one is not like any of the others in the Nectar Nation range. Its a completely different profile. While it is different, all the while it still stays true to the benchmarks that their other flavours adhere to. Full flavoured, complex, yet balanced and really really tasty!

“Citrus Tart” is a sweet, yet tangy, explosion of citrus high notes with a rounded background of uniquely mixed fruits and a light pastry feel.

Individual Notes

The orange citrus’s that are in this are not really individually noticeable flavours, they combine to create on killer Mandarin/Blood Orange hybrid that is fresh, juicy citrus with a light tang, and a flavour that has a tonne more impact than a normal orange flavour would have.

There is a touch of lemon in here too, it’s not very noticeable but lightens everything up and balances everything at the same time.

I get a lot of lime here, its a Key Lime note, that carries throughout the vape, with a little dominance, but still light enough to not be overbearing. It has a light zesty feel, with more of a syrupy rich lime following up as the vape continues.

I also notice a tiny baked goods or pastry note too. I can’t quite put my finger on it’s profile, it really is a very light background note.

Inhale & Exhale

The inhale is mostly the orange citrus fruits. Mandarin and blood orange combine to create a seamlessly smooth clean inhale. I notice a touch of lemon here too.

At the turn, the introduction of lime results in a bold flavour, combining with the blood orange yet creating a lower bottom end note that really gives this a solid flavour packed and slightly syrup like feel.

This continues through the exhale with the lime becoming stronger and I believe a little sweet cream also making its way into the mix to provide an extra layer and to thicken things up a bit.

The exhale finishes off with a very light pastry note perfectly balanced by the combined citrus fruits for a lightweight yet flavour packed vape.

Final thoughts

I absolutely love this flavour, its dessert like, yet light at the same time. Great for an all year round vape, and tonnes of tangy flavour to keep your tastebuds interested. I notice that there isn’t really a loss of flavour over days of vaping it, which is a huge plus for any citrus based juice. Its a really well balanced, complex and fruity vape that rivals any of the others in the Nectar Nation range!

Fantastic work on this one guys!

Colour:

Honey tint

Aroma:

Key Lime!

Coil and wick damage:

No noticeable gunking of coils and wicks, they may degrade over time due to the citrus however.

PG/VG Ratio:

20%PG / 80%VG

Texture:

Crisp, tangy, and full flavoured

Steeping:

A fruity mix is always great straight away! This may benefit from a steep though, many citrus’s do.

Presentation:

Some pretty unique presentation here, the bottles I received are 60ml blue tinted plastic bottles with a narrow sauce bottle type cap (not child-proof). These tips are just small enough to fit nicely into an RTA fill slot, pump enough juice through to fill a squonk bottle, and don’t leak when unscrewing the top like the normal sauce bottle type caps.
The labels are sleek being matt black, with the Nectar Nation logo and all of the information you’ll ever need, including the flavour description, which is a huge plus!

Test rigs:

Haku with slam cap running a single 0.18 AK coil from “Bombers Coils” on a mech mod.
OBS Engine RTA on Revenger mod @ 80w
